An Open Letter To Tea Party Leaders

Posted by James Manship on May 17, 2010 under How | Be the First to Comment

manship2Dear Tea Party Leaders,

Here is a National Law Journal article that shows the “insiders” know they must co-opt or diffuse the Tea Party influence for the Kagan nomination to succeed.

Tea Party coordinators last week said they’re still assessing Kagan’s nomination, and it isn’t yet apparent whether it will become a priority for them. Mark Meckler, a California-based coordinator for Tea Party Patriots, a national group, said any efforts by the group to defeat Kagan’s nomination would have to start at the local level, and he hasn’t yet heard a push to do so.

There NEEDS to be a push to do so.

Read below the spin-meister line “wonderful credentials”. What WISE citizen cares about “credentials” especially academic credentials with revolving door government credentials? Far, far more important is commitment to Original Intent of this Constitution. Harvard Law School leads the nation AGAINST this Constitution and original intent.

Investigate Kagan’s past writings, and when Dean of Harvard Law, showing PREJUDICE against America’s Military recruiters on campus. Did she ban ACLU from recruiting on campus?  If NOT, then she VIOLATES EQUAL JUSTICE FOR ALL. Read more of this article »

Arizona Has It Right

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on May 2, 2010 under How | Be the First to Comment

arizonaOpen borders advocates are livid that the State of Arizona has enacted a new law authorizing State law enforcement personnel to arrest illegal aliens. The Reverend Al Sharpton is threatening to march. The mayor of San Francisco has declared Arizona off limits as a travel destination. The national government of Mexico has issued travel warnings. President Barack Obama is contemplating bringing a federal lawsuit against the State. Some are calling for a boycott of the State.

So, why all the fuss?

The State of Arizona is rightly sick and tired of the federal government’s refusal to protect our nation (and the State of Arizona specifically) from this foreign invasion that is commonly referred to as “illegal immigration.” In other words, the State of Arizona has said, “If the federal government won’t enforce the law, we will.” I say, good for them! Now, the other border states (Texas, New Mexico, and California) should do the same thing. Arizona has it right, and the vast majority of the American people know it.

As an aside, if you are considering a visit to the American Southwest this summer, why not support the brave legislators and governor of Arizona, and make a point to spend your leisure dollars in Arizona? And when you do, write a letter to the State capitol and tell them. Even more importantly, I suggest that everyone contact their own State representatives, senators, and governors, and urge them to enact a similar law–to the one Arizona passed–in your State. Seven Mexican Police Officers Died… Were You Aware?

Posted by Larry Miller on April 25, 2010 under Why | Be the First to Comment

mexicanpoliceThis weekend, headlines jumped from from the screen of the FoxNews site about a shootout in Ciudad Juarez where drug gangs ambushed two police cars killing seven officers. They did not, however, jump from the screen to visitors of the formerly mainstream media. CNN noted that a 17 year old bystander was killed in a shootout south of the border. It wasn’t until the second paragraph that the article noted seven police officers also died. NBC made no mention and CBS made a small note of the event. Why would this be?

Then, over in Morelia, Mexico, Public Safety Director of the western state of Michoacan was attacked by gunmen armed with “assault” rifles and grenades. She was wounded, but survived, however four others did not. We have some extremely violent lawlessness taking place in our neighbor to the south.

The timing of this brutality was especially unfortunate for those whose current talking points included the trashing of Arizona which was taking steps to defend themselves against the importation of this Mexican violence. The President, who is actively working to legalize the illegal, called the states actions irresponsible. Others have called them unconstitutional and ill advised, threatening lawsuits. Demonstrations, some violent in themselves, sprung up criticizing Arizona’s efforts at self defense… but as of this writing, the law is still scheduled to go into effect this summer. The Spirit of ‘32

Posted by Larry Miller on April 12, 2010 under How | Be the First to Comment

bonusarmyIn the spring of 1932, thousands of veterans of the First World War and their families marched on Washington DC to demand immediate cash payment for service certificates Congress had issued to the veterans eight years earlier. The certificates were intended to mature after two decades, but in the depths of the Great Depression, with many of those veterans unemployed, the protestors (dubbed the “Bonus Army”) felt they should be able to redeem their certificates early as an emergency relief measure.

Around 15,000 men, women, and children camped out near the Capitol for months. On June 15, the House of Representatives passed a bill authorizing payment of the bonuses, but the Senate rejected it two days later. The protestors refused to leave. Another month passed, and tensions ran high. Some of President Hoover’s advisors were convinced that the marchers had become radicalized and would attempt a communist coup. In fact, the American Communist Party had attempted to infiltrate the Bonus Army, but the Bonus Army’s leader, Walter W. Waters, was a patriot and fervent anti-communist who organized his men to root out the radicals from their ranks.

Never-the-less, on July 28 President Hoover ordered the Washington DC police to evict some of the protestors from an abandoned building located on government property. A scuffle erupted and two veterans were killed. Panicked, Hoover ordered a military force under the command of General Douglas MacArthur to remove all the protestors. General MacArthur interpreted the order as blanket permission to run the Bonus Army out of the Capital. Cavalry, infantry, and tanks assaulted their encampment with teargas and fixed bayonets. When the smoke cleared, an 11-week old baby was dead, one child blinded, and hundreds of veterans were wounded. Read more of this article »

John McCain’s Attack On Liberty

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on March 17, 2010 under Why | Be the First to Comment

JohnMcCainAnyone paying attention knows that John McCain has been a Big-Government Globalist Neocon (BGGN) for virtually his entire senatorial career. As with many BGGNs hiding out in the Republican Party, McCain likes to talk about smaller government, but his track record is littered with the promotion of one big government program after another. But, what else would one expect from a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)?

Lately, however, McCain has outdone himself. He has introduced two bills in the US Senate that are about as Machiavellian as they could be. I am referring to S.3081, a bill that would authorize the federal government to detain American citizens indefinitely without trial, and S.3002, a bill that would authorize the federal government to regulate vitamins, minerals, and virtually all health and natural food products.

According to Examiner.com, “Last week, John McCain introduced a bill into the U.S. Senate which, if passed, would actually allow U.S. citizens to be arrested and detained indefinitely, all without Miranda rights or ever being charged with a crime.”

The Examiner report continued by saying “This bill, introduced by McCain, who despite overwhelming evidence, claims to be a ‘conservative,’ would not only take away our right to a trial, but would also allow the federal government to arrest and imprison anyone the current administration deems hostile. Is America Becoming A Police State?

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on February 28, 2010 under Why | Be the First to Comment

police_state.trooperThere is a classic story about how no one had been able to capture a herd of wild hogs that was rooting up crops from numerous farms. It got so bad that rewards had been posted for anyone clever enough to corral the critters. But even this resulted in only limited success.

One day a stranger (who was a wily old trapper) came into town and—entering the general store–ordered a truckload of fence posts and fencing, along with some feed. When asked what he was going to use it for, he said, “I’m going to get those wild hogs y’all are having trouble with.” Of course, everyone in the store laughed at the overconfident stranger. A few weeks later, however, the stranger rode into town with the back of his truck tightly packed with the smelly swine.

When asked how he was able to accomplish what no one else had been able to do, the old trapper replied, “Simple. I started putting the feed out in a small clearing and the hogs began freely eating the feed. It didn’t take long and they were there every day. Then I put up the fence posts, but with no fencing. At first the hogs were a little skittish, but it wasn’t long and they ignored the posts. Then I began putting the fence up, but I left the gate off. Again, the hogs were skittish at first, but soon realized they could come and go freely, and before long, they were devouring the free food with a vengeance. Then, one day when the hogs were aggressively consuming the vittles, I slammed the gate closed.” Read more of this article »

Remembering Martin Luther King Jr.

Posted by Larry Miller on January 17, 2010 under How | Be the First to Comment

As I was growing up, hearing about the speeches and marches of Martin Luther King, much of what I heard was that he was stirring up trouble where he had no business. In the rural northeast there was little knowledge or understanding of the situations he was fighting against. There was only one black student in my high school graduating class and she was kind of cute and fit in with everyone, so I could not comprehend what the fuss was all about.

It was only later, after Dr. King was gone, and I saw grown men with dark skin addressed as “Boy” and saw pictures of segregated facilities that I began to grasp the struggles of freedom fighters like Martin Luther King Jr and others like Medgar Evers.

Our Declaration of Independence enshrined the words “all men are created equal”. Correctly it does not specify all men of a certain color, a particular economic class or those connected to the “ruling class”. It says all men are created equal. It does not say that some are only three fifths equal as some in congress specified so as to obtain congressional representation, yet not recognize the humanity of some citizens. Things That Go Bump In The Night

Posted by Larry Miller on December 29, 2009 under Why | Be the First to Comment

interpol2Yes indeed, contrary to the stories we tell our children, there are things that go bump in the night. It is particularly scary, or at least it should be, when they go bumping around the White House like they did on the night of December 16, 2009. That is the night that Barack Hussein Obama issued Executive Order 12425 that eliminated many Reagan era restrictions on INTERPOL, the international police force populated by many of the same types of people that make the UN so hostile to American values and sovereignty.

The conservative/libertarian blogosphere is all atwitter about this abdication of United States authority, and they are correct. However, I believe they are missing one critical point. These are the same people who were prepared to arrest Israeli leaders in Great Britain under claims from Palestinian states. These are also the same people who would love to get their hands on CIA operatives and American soldiers who were simply doing their jobs… in the way they were trained.

One of the major affronts to our sense of justice and rights of the accused are immunity from the restrictions of our Fourth Amendment which states: Read more of this article »

A Suggested Survival List

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on December 28, 2009 under How | Be the First to Comment

survivalOne does not have to be a prophet to know that we are on the precipice of some potentially catastrophic–or at the very least, challenging–days. In fact, most of us are already in challenging days, and some are already enduring catastrophic events. That is, if one would call being out of work, losing one’s home, facing life-threatening medical conditions without any prospect of medical insurance, several families being forced to live in one house due to homes being foreclosed, etc., catastrophic.

The potential for an escalation of cataclysmic events, however, is very real. Only a “blooming idiot” would call someone who attempts to prepare for “the day of adversity” a Chicken Little now. Anyone who does not see the storm clouds on the horizon isn’t paying attention.

For example, can one imagine what would happen if terrorists nuked a major American city or cities? (Once again, I encourage readers to go get the videos of the CBS TV series “Jericho” to get an idea of how quickly life, and even civilization, could change.) Imagine if there was another 9/11-type event. What would happen if some form of Zimbabwe-style inflation hit the US? What would happen if anything disrupted the distribution of Welfare checks, or food to local grocers? Imagine a Hurricane Katrina-style natural disaster in your town. I think people everywhere are beginning to awaken to just how vulnerable we all really are. Read more of this article »

Homeland Security Or Homeland Enslavement?

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on December 2, 2009 under Why | Read the First Comment

dhs2By now, most readers are familiar with the story of how a Virginia couple, Michaele and Tareq Salahi, crashed the White House State Dinner last Tuesday evening. President and Mrs. Obama were entertaining Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the first official State Dinner of the new administration. The Salahis were not on the invited guest list, but were still allowed to walk right into the White House. They even had face-to-face conversations with both President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. Photographs of the Salahis with the President and Vice President have been published in numerous newspapers and on hundreds of web sites.

I wonder if the American people are thinking this episode through? Think of it: in the post-9/11 world, a world that has invented the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), body scanners, retina readers, the Patriot Act, hundreds of laws and regulations restricting the freedoms and liberties of the American people, thousands of cameras photographing our public movements, and satellite spy devices, a couple can walk right into the White House and meet the President and Vice President without being invited!

Questions Regarding The Fort Hood Massacre

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on November 23, 2009 under Why | 3 Comments to Read

soldierprayBy now, virtually everyone has read and reread the copious news accounts of the terrible shooting a few weeks ago at Fort Hood, Texas. This column will not attempt to add new details to what is already a highly scrutinized tragedy. However, I do want to pose three basic questions that, to me, are extremely glaring and, for the most part, absent from the discussion.

Question 1: Why were the soldiers not armed?

After all, this is a military base; more than that, it is an Army base that emphasizes the training and equipping of frontline, combat-ready soldiers. For the most part, these were not clerks or cooks; these were combat troops. Fort Hood is home to the 1st Cavalry Division (the largest Division in the Army). Troops stationed at Fort Hood have engaged the enemy in virtually every hot theater of war to which American forces have been deployed. In recent conflicts that means Somalia, Bosnia, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. Without a doubt, these are among America’s bravest and best.

So, how is it that these intensely trained, disciplined, rugged, highly qualified warriors are not allowed to carry their own weapons on base? This makes about as much sense as the policy forbidding airline pilots from carrying their own handguns on board commercial airliners, or teachers not being allowed to carry their own handguns in the classroom. After all, judges are granted the authority to carry their own firearms into the courtroom. If we can trust lawyers, we should be able to trust soldiers, airline pilots, and teachers. You Might Be A Constitutionalist If . . .

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on November 15, 2009 under Why | Read the First Comment

us_constitution_flagI originally published this column back in January of 2005. Since then (and especially lately), many people have called and written with requests to republish it. So, with a few minor revisions, here it is.

More than thirty years as a student of American history, constitutional government, and the Holy Bible leads me to the conviction that the two major political parties in this country (at the national level) are equally culpable in stripping America of its founding principles. In my opinion, both the Democrat and Republican parties in Washington, D.C., have zero fidelity to the U.S. Constitution and zero respect for America’s foundational precepts.

In my studied opinion, neither the Democrat nor Republican Party (at the national level) has any intention of slowing the out-of-control expansion of government. Neither party has demonstrated any loyalty to preserving and protecting our constitutional form of government.

Like National Socialists and Soviet Socialists of old, the only thing that concerns Democrats and Republicans today is who is in power. Both are equally willing to destroy the freedoms and liberties of people without conscience or regret as long as their party remains in control. Read more of this article »

“Ravenwood” Reviewed

Posted by Larry Miller on October 12, 2009 under Why | Be the First to Comment

Montana JailIt’s hard to say what’s going on in Hardin, Montana. It may be even the residents of the aren’t sure. Tumultuous times like ours breed speculations from limited information. We have seen actions by our government that has caused many of us to loose trust in our basic institutions… and for some, hope in a brighter future.

There are some with pretty vivid imaginations, taking off on minimal information and building a whole fantastic construct from mostly thin air. The recent activity in this small western town does not fit this. Even those who say there is nothing to rumors of nefarious doings recognize that there is some character riding around town in an SUV (Mercedes yet) with a Hardin Police logo. They have pictures of this guy in a police uniform.

The town has no official police force. They fall under the nearby Billings jurisdiction. So what is up with a pseudo policeman roaming the streets and no one takes exception to it? I think one would be hard pressed to find a jurisdiction where this type impersonation would not warrant some attention… usually resulting in time behind bars. To me, it just doesn’t pass the smell test. I’m sure if I were to put some sort of local police decal on my car and come up with at least a semi-official looking outfit, I would soon run afoul of the Chesterfield constabulary. Why did this not happen in Hardin?

The other part of the story is the empty four hundred plus bed prison in the town. This appears to be the result of misguided investment by some people trying to bring employment to the town. It may be that some knew more than most, or it could be a fortuitous circumstance that our government may have the opportunity to take advantage of somewhere in the future. Hard to say. “Ravenwood” Comes To America

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on October 11, 2009 under Why | Read the First Comment

jericho2Fans of the CBS-terminated TV series JERICHO will recognize the name “Ravenwood.” This was the ruthless mercenary force used by the illegitimate federal government at Cheyenne to subjugate the citizens of Kansas in the aftermath of a massive nuclear attack against two dozen American cities. As with much of JERICHO’s superbly written story line, Ravenwood reflected real-world entities. Private mercenary forces have been used extensively throughout the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, as well as in many other theaters. And as JERICHO correctly depicted, these “private contractors” have largely operated without oversight or accountability. (Can anyone say, “Blackwater”?) For the most part, the American people are unfamiliar with these mercenary forces, because they normally operate in foreign theaters of war. JERICHO put them on the streets of U.S. cities. Now it looks like JERICHO was more prophecy than fiction.

An underreported (what’s new?) story out of a little town in Montana has brought real-life drama to the CBS blockbuster TV series. Interestingly enough, CBS is the only major news network that has covered the Montana story.

In the little town of Hardin, Montana (which is about the same size as the fictitious town of Jericho, Kansas, in the TV series), a private security firm, American Police Force (APF), has been contracted to provide all police services and to manage the operation of the town’s jail. According to local news reports out of Billings, Montana, “American Police Force officials showed up in Mercedes SUV’s that had ‘Hardin Police’ stenciled on the vehicles. The twist, the city of Hardin doesn’t have a police department.

“Two Rivers Authority [the city's economic development agency] officials say having APF patrol the streets was never part of their agenda.” (Source: KULR-8 Television, Billings, Montana) Read more of this article »

Poor Plaxico Burress

Posted by Larry Miller on August 21, 2009 under Why | Be the First to Comment

burressSome days it does not pay to get out of bed. Sometime back the New York Giant’s Plaxico Burress headed out for an evening on the town in Manhattan. One last accessory he packed was his unregistered hand gun. Then, while showing off his toy, somehow he shot himself in the leg. Now to make matters worse, he is going to jail for two years for simply having the gun. It could have been worse, New York City has such myopic anti-gun laws he could be spending the next three and a half years behind bars.

One would think that with the crime level in the city and the overtaxed police department, they would understand the need for people to defend themselves. However, the idea of handling ones own problem is foreign to the northeast liberal thought process. The only trustworthy approach is to let an anointed government agency take care of you.

Back to poor Plaxico… perforating his leg… heading off to the big house. It kind of reminds me of something John Wayne told us: “Life is tough, It’s tougher when you are stupid” Responsible gun owners know their weapon is not a toy to be played with… especially when one is drinking. Plaxico didn’t see it that way. Perhaps the sentence is appropriate more for stupidity if not for possessing a weapon the government did not know about.

This sentence is indicative of the irrational fear the government in the Big Apple has of people defending themselves. By comparison, Philadelphia Eagle Donte Stallworth, got behind the wheel after a few too many ‘adult beverages’ and actually killed someone. This landed him in jail for thirty days in another jurisdiction. Since Burress hurt no one but himself… but COULD HAVE killed someone with his unregistered weapon, he bought himself two years.

There is no understanding the progressive mind… only limiting the damage it can do.

Why Are Internment Camps Being Built?

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on August 18, 2009 under Why | Read the First Comment

femaThe Internet is abuzz with news about the construction of internment camps all across America. Of course, “mainstream” media outlets refuse to touch the subject; or if they do, they pooh-pooh the story; they do what Glenn Beck recently did: try to debunk the story as fallacious and impugn people who speak of it as “conspiracy nuts.” The fact that the Becks, Hannitys, Limbaughs, and O’Reillys of the media circus refuse to deal with the construction of large numbers of internment camps does not make them disappear, however.

For starters, all anyone need do to begin a serious investigation of the subject of internment camps is Google the phrase “FEMA Camps.” There is more than enough evidence in that search engine alone to keep one busy with some in-depth private investigation of the subject for quite a while.

Another URL to check out is this one from the June 2009 Idaho Observer:
http://www.proliberty.com/observer/20090609.htm

As people read my columns all across America, I have had numerous readers contact me, saying that they have personally witnessed the transportation of construction materials used for internment camps, have actually worked in and around them, or have personally seen such camps. These eyewitness testimonies have come from very credible people, including law enforcement and military personnel, as well as airline pilots and construction workers. Read more of this article »

The Billings Murders

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on July 19, 2009 under Why | 3 Comments to Read

billingsBy now, most Americans are familiar with the horrific murder of a Pensacola, Florida, couple by the name of Byrd and Melanie Billings. They were the parents of 17 children, 13 of whom were adopted–most of whom had disabilities. This case hits home with me, because they lived in my hometown of Pensacola. I did not know them personally, but they were fairly well known around town. Byrd was a well-to-do businessman who owned a used car business and financial loan service.

Byrd and Melanie were shot to death in their own home a week ago Thursday. So far, eight people have been arrested in the case: seven men and one woman. The seven men are each charged with two open counts of murder, and the woman is charged with accessory to murder after the fact. Law enforcement officials said yesterday that at least one more “person of interest” is being sought.

The Billings murder case was broken open by the fact that their home was equipped with a surveillance system, which recorded the vehicle used to transport the murderers to the home and probably much of the criminal activity inside the house, although the sheriff’s office has not released the video of what was recorded inside the house. The video of the van led police to the suspects. Our State Attorney, Bill Eddins, says that all of the perpetrators who actively took part in the shootings are in custody. At least five of the men were inside the house when the murders took place; and police said the killers were in and out of the house in four minutes. Read more of this article »

Where Is Our Safety?

Posted by Larry Miller on July 9, 2009 under Why | 9 Comments to Read

aussoldierRecent revelations have not done much to give us confidence in the security our government is providing to our country. We have been told that over the Fourth of July weekend, various high level government sites suffered denial of service attacks by what may well have been the North Koreans. We have not heard much of the other, more dangerous attempts to hack into our so-called secure data. Then GAO officials testified in a Senate hearing that their agents managed to penetrate ten secure government office buildings with bomb components, assemble them and wander through various parts of the building. The high point of the report was a picture of a security guard asleep at his post.

These news stories make one wonder if our government can even protect itself, let alone the people of this country. President Obama just commented that “The future does not belong to those who gather armies on a field of battle or bury missiles in the ground.” His contempt for the value of our military is obvious and he apparently does not take external threats seriously. Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama apparently believes the silver tongue that won over American voters will work its magic on those who hate everything this country used to stand for and sooth their savage souls. He certainly seems to be heading down the road of unilateral disarmament… which is nice in theory, but presents huge risks to those without access to the presidential bunker.

Where he and his administration are paying attention is to the domestic unrest that is building through out the land. The Department of Homeland Security* is looking at gun rights advocates, pro-lifers, constitution advocates, states rights supporters, even evangelical Christians as possible threats to the Obama regime. These threats ARE being taken seriously. The MIAC* report confirmed this as do numerous corresponding state reports*. These citizens expressing our traditional American values are ranked right up there with white supremacist skinheads and head bangers. Read more of this article »

A Matter of Perspective: Challenge or Opportunity

Posted by Larry Miller on May 29, 2009 under How | Be the First to Comment

Recent polls show that we now have more people identifying themselves as Independents than as part of either of the major parties. In recent months, those identifying themselves as Republicans have slid from 29% to 22%. The talking heads have been reporting this movement with glee. What they have have not been telling us is that the Democrats have dropped from 39% to 33%. Since this doesn’t fit the New York Times template, this fact is not reported. Meanwhile voters identifying themselves as Independents has climbed to 39%. As Arte Johnson used to say, “Verrrry interesting.”

What does this tell us? It depends on what ax the interpreter has to grind. To the Republicans looking to drag the party to the middle, it means that the people are leaving the conservative base and so should the political class. They think that clinging to God and guns is costing the GOP support. This thinking may have some validity if the party were actually doing such clinging. The past years, when the party had control of both houses and the White House showed precipitous movement away from these traditional positions causing the fortunes of the party to plummet.

This does not really mean that the nearly two out of five Independent voters are hard core conservatives. It does show, however, that it is difficult to win elections when you alienate your base… your core supporters. The fact that the other party is experiencing a similar shrinkage, in spite of their victories may indicate a wholesale disillusionment with the partisanship and influence of special interests on legislators across the spectrum.

We also see people showing more anger toward their own party than toward the opposition. Both sides, but especially Republicans feel betrayed as they watch politicians renege on campaign promises to the detriment of their supporters and our country. It’s almost enough to give credence to the conspiracy theories of our leaders being controlled by the Council on Foreign Relations or the Bilderbergs. Read more of this article »

It Is Getting Very Serious Now

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on May 19, 2009 under How | Be the First to Comment

First, it was a Missouri Analysis and Information Center (MIAC) report; then it was a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report; now it is a New York congressman’s bill. Each of these items, taken on their own, is problematic enough; taken together they portend “a clear and present danger” to the liberties of the American people. It is getting very serious now.

As readers may recall, the MIAC report profiled certain people as being potential violence-prone “militia members”: including people who supported Presidential candidates Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and myself. In addition, anyone who opposed one or more of the following were also included in the list: the New World Order, the U.N., gun control, the violation of Posse Comitatus, the Federal Reserve, the Income Tax, the Ammunition Accountability Act, a possible Constitutional Convention, the North American Union, the Universal Service Program, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), abortion on demand, or illegal immigration.

The MIAC report prompted a firestorm of protest, and was eventually rescinded, with the man responsible for its distribution being dismissed from his position. The DHS report profiled many of the same people included in the MIAC report, and added returning Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans as potentially dangerous “extremists.”

As I have said before, it is very likely that when all of the opinions and views of the above lists are counted, 75% or more of the American people would be included. Yet, these government reports would have law enforcement personnel to believe we are all dangerous extremists that need to be watched and guarded against. If this was not bad enough, a New York congressman has introduced a bill in the House of Representatives to deny Second Amendment rights to everyone listed above. Read more of this article »

Obama Seeks Amnesty For Illegal Aliens

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on April 22, 2009 under Why | 3 Comments to Read

One of the greatest disappointments expressed by former President George W. Bush was his inability to provide amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens. But as is so often the case, the departure of one Presidential administration and the advent of another Presidential administration seldom means great change, loquacious rhetoric by the current President notwithstanding. The plan to provide amnesty for illegal aliens is a classic case in point.

President Barack Obama is determined to succeed where G.W. Bush failed. According to many published reports, he fully intends to grant amnesty to tens of millions of illegal aliens. In fact, granting amnesty to illegal aliens is on Obama’s short list of priorities. That short list includes the nationalization of America’s financial systems, the nationalization of America’s healthcare and energy systems, expanding the wars in the Middle East, strengthening and increasing global agreements and associations, gun control (perhaps using international treaties where congressional legislation has failed), and amnesty to illegal aliens.

Watch for Obama to make a full-court press for an amnesty proposal next month. He has already appointed working groups to study strategies. Administration sources have said Obama wants amnesty legislation on his desk by this fall at the latest.

One way Obama is preparing the path for amnesty is contained in the massive stimulus bill already passed by Congress and signed into law. According to USA Today, “Tens of thousands of jobs created by the economic stimulus law could end up filled by illegal immigrants, particularly in big states such as California where undocumented workers are heavily represented in construction, experts on both sides of the issue say.

“Studies by two conservative think tanks estimate immigrants in the United States illegally could take 300,000 construction jobs, or 15% of the 2 million jobs that new taxpayer-financed projects are predicted to create.” Read more of this article »

And The Beat Goes On…

Posted by Larry Miller on March 26, 2009 under How | Be the First to Comment

As we dig deeper into the governments’ suspicions of American citizens, we see the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) was not the only body looking askance at our everyday activities. We see another coming from the cradle of our liberty, Virginia! In a manual titled “Terrorism & Security Awareness Orientation for State Employees” the public servants were told that along with racist and hate groups, psychopated animal rights advocates and street gangs they should be watchful of people who stood up for property rights and religious extremists. No made mention of Islamofascists… just religions in general. I guess they thought, or hoped others would think, that followers of Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson were just as likely to kill their neighbors in large numbers as those trained in Al Qaeda camps in the mountains of Afghanistan.

In a further indication that they are grasping at straws and don’t really know how to identify the bad guys, state employees were told to watch for people carrying such dangerous weapons as: cameras, small tape recorders, maps, notebooks, SCUBA gear and disguises. Now, other than the disguises, it sounds like many of us going on vacation. Anyone who as been to the capitol that Mr. Jefferson designed in Richmond or any of the other historic buildings and monuments knows that some of these things are almost obligatory for tourists walking the city streets. Then they have the gall to watch for groups that want to “influence government or social policy”… as if anyone of would want to do that. Oh yes, that’s what political parties, corporations and public service groups do all the time.
