Many years ago, our forefathers agreed that all men were created equal. This was a giant step forward as the world they lived in was dominated by a stratified society composed of the ruling class and peasants.

Many years ago, our forefathers agreed that all men were created equal. This was a giant step forward as the world they lived in was dominated by a stratified society composed of the ruling class and peasants… and there was no movement between, or association with, members of the opposite class. The founders understood that the One who Created each of us did not play favorites and everyone stood before Him on equal footing.

Today, we are governed by another ruling class who, at best, gives lip service to the Creator and, at worst, wants Him banned from public discourse, lest their humanistic lies be exposed. They are the ones who determine who is favored and who is shunned. They decide who deserves the good will of the state and who requires observation.

Here is where we run into the idea of the “protected class” of citizens. These are people who don’t always have an easy time of life. It could be that they have some physical situation, or some lifestyle choice situation that is different than most. However, the common denominator is that the Democrat Party has managed to create a dependency on government in these citizens and, pretty well, takes them for granted at the polling place… sometimes multiple times in a cycle. Foolishly, the other party bought into the compassionate sounding names they gave the laws and embraced them as well.

This is not to say we should ignore our neighbors with physical disabilities. On the contrary, we need to look out for the welfare of our neighbors as we do our own families. However, to make such consideration a mandate from the government opens the door to all sorts of graft, corruption and cronyism.

Consider for a moment the outrageously priced child safety seat for cars. They are a great product and my grandchildren all had them. My kids had this flimsy little thing that hung on the back of the front seat. It would have been useless in a crash. However the mandate did not come until someone had a product they want to sell and the connections to have a law passed. Viola! An instant market of millions of new parents. I want to make clear that just because something is a law does not mean it’s a bad idea – just that we need to be aware of the whole story.

Now consider the whole new industry centered around “compliance”. It encompasses the fastest growing segment of the software industry all the way down to companies that pedal properly worded posters instructing employees how to behave so as not to offend one or more of the ruling party’s constituencies. Those with connections are making multiple millions because of these government regulations, while the rest of us are boxed in more tightly every day by people with no natural authority telling us “you must say this” or “you can’t say that”.

Some of the problems addressed actually had some basis in reality. Sometimes we Americans can behave boorishly, not thinking about the people around us. Yes, even Christians do the same thing. It may not be as overt at times, but we, too, can get caught up in our own concerns and forget the people around us. We are told that true religion is to look out for the least among us, so we are, in deed, our brothers keeper.

It is because we, as a group, have failed to be the salt and light in society, taking care of those in need that we opened the door for opportunists to come in and replace true compassion with the mercantile approach of trading favor for votes. Some of our own number, who claim the name of Christ, have fallen into the trap of attempting to meet their neighbors needs through a political organization that is essentially godless and corrupt.

We cannot escape the blame for allowing this to happen. We have been too wrapped up in our own concerns. These concerns could even include our own church activities. We have not been seeing the needs around us. Not seeing, we have not been responding… and the enemy has moved in with a false solution that takes away freedom and destroys souls.

As Barack Hussein Obama kicked off his presidential campaign with a State of the Union message. The Prevaricator in Chief tried to sound much more mainstream than his actions have shown him to be. We shall look at any proposals that may actually have both merit and potential for execution at a later date, however for now, let’s look at what American patriot, Thomas Paine might tell him.

Macy's Fires Employee for Protecting Women's Dressing Rooms from Cross-dresser

In 1947, America was charmed by little Natalie Wood in the Christmas classic, Miracle on 34th Street. The story revolved around proving the unprovable and the childhood joys of Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. The film showed the company to be a family friendly organization that cared more about the welfare of their customers than squeezing the last dollar out of them.

Of course this was only a movie… and it was 1947! Over sixty years ago America was a far different place. It was a time when we looked out for each other. Today, instead of looking outward, for many, the focus has turned around 180 degrees. Stores such as Macy’s have apparently either found it more profitable to cater to the free spending homosexual community that doesn’t fritter it’s money away on families or children.

Recently this report went out concerning an incident where the company would rather discharge a conscientious employee than set limits on deviant customers:

San Antonio, TX – A young woman was fired from a Macy’s department store for refusing to violate her religious beliefs by permitting a young man dressed as a woman from entering the women’s dressing room. Natalie Johnson claims she saw the young man walk out of the women’s fitting room and politely told him that he could not go back in because it was for women only. The cross-dressing young man claimed that he is a “female.” Johnson said that he was wearing make-up and girl’s clothing, but clearly he was a male. The cross-dresser was accompanied by five other individuals. The group argued with expletives that Macy’s is LGBT-friendly, to which Johnson replied that Macy’s is also non-discriminatory toward religion, and that it would go against her religious beliefs to lie that he was a woman or compromise with homosexuality. The group then demanded to speak with a manager.

When Johnson was confronted by her employer, she explained that she could not allow a male to change in a female’s fitting room. Johnson’s boss referred her to Macy’s LGBT policy which allows “transgender” people to change in any dressing room they want. However, Johnson pointed out that the same policy also protects against religious discrimination and, in this case, it protects her right to her beliefs that were being violated. The manager demanded that she comply with the LGBT policies or lose her job. Johnson refused to go against her sincerely held religious beliefs and was terminated from her job.

Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, commented: “Macy’s policy which allows men to use the women’s dressing room is fraught with problems. This policy will cause significant problems and will alienate the majority of Macy’s customers. Macy’s has essentially opened women’s dressing rooms to every man. The LGBT agenda has become the theater of the absurd.”

The story illustrates how, to the unprincipled world, chasing the dollars of perversion trumps respect for religious conviction… or even common sense. It is also possible that the management is afraid of the type of terroristic response this community has when confronted by any kind of opposition. We have seen many churches receiving threatening calls, and worse when they stand against the homosexual agenda. Retailing executives generally don’t have the backbone to stand up to the man-purse buying clientele.

It may be good to consider the type of organization we are supporting when we spend our money on presents for those we love this season. Giving it to those who thumb their noses as traditional Christian values in favor of those making a public display of their perverse abomination just doesn’t seem to be the way to the birth of our Savior.

When our country was founded well over two hundred years ago, the citizens were neither perfect or marching in lock step, yet there was a form of Christian consensus.

The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. (Genesis 11:6 NIV)

When our country was founded well over two hundred years ago, the citizens were neither perfect or marching in lock step, yet there was a form of Christian consensus. There was a general agreement on what constituted right and wrong. There was an agreement on the rights and duties of citizenship in this great land. Because of this the people were happy and productive – creating the most prosperous nation on earth.

Sure there were conflicts. There were those who desired to take advantage of the good people… both inside and outside the government. In spite of this the sense of common values and common destiny held us together even through our darkest hours. This sense of common values kept us from fragmenting ourselves into ineffective and hostile tribes that could only succeed at the expense of others.

This is exactly what scripture above tells us. It comes from the story of the Tower of Babel, where a disobedient people thought they could build their own society on their own terms. To a point, they could… but there came a time when God intervened and put a stop to their humanistic schemes. We humans are created in the image of God with considerable physical and intellectual capabilities. We can do a great many things, even though we cannot save ourselves.

When we work together, we can do amazing things. We can find energy under thousands of feet of rock. We can turn a barren desert into an abundant garden. We can put a man on the moon. We can develop businesses that employ thousands, giving them a way to support their families and enjoy a good life in our land.

However, in recent years, we have not been so together as we once were. Many in our land still have a love and respect for the “American Dream”. They believe in the work ethic that made this country great. They believe in working hard and reaping the rewards of that work.

Unfortunately, this belief is not as common as it once was. There are those who cannot make it in our performance oriented society, or do not think they can make it… or do not wish to put forth the effort that seek to receive the benefits of the work of others and are willing to take what they want. They have no regard for the people or the system that is so effective that there is enough left over to allow even those at the bottom of our economic ladder to live better than most of the rest of the world.

We will always have those among us who, legitimately, have disabilities that prevent them from productively working in our society. They are not that many that we cannot care for them. However the systems to do so that are in place, make it far to easy for those who are capable, but simple do not wish to put forth the effort.

Even more unfortunate is the fact that the most influential people in our government are among their number. Just recently the New York Times ran an article, publicized by Rush Limbaugh, that confirms the President is building his support among those looking to benefit from the federal “safety net”. He is expanding programs at a pace and in areas the even FDR never considered. The only thing is that, while he is succeeding in giving away more and more, he is also succeeding in pseudo job creation programs that give the appearance of concern, but have absolutely no possibility or intention of creating jobs… which would be the only way of paying for his redistribution schemes.

This president is not only taking from the productive members of society, he is reducing their numbers. Beyond that, worse even, is the fact that he is generating hostility between the working and the non-working segments of society. He is building his whole administration by driving wedges between classes of people. This is his worst crime of all. The animosity Barack Obama has created over recent years by telling people at the lower end of the economic scale that their problems are the result of intentional actions by those who have worked for their lifestyles is poisoning our society, making a return to united prosperity possibly generations away.

Apparently he never heard that Benjamin Franklin told us, “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.” Neither has Obama considered Dante’s interpretation of hell where he looked on the “sowers of discord” as worthy of only slightly less torment then the Devil himself. This time though, I would suggest that it is not the Creator fragmenting us – we are doing it to ourselves.

However one wants to look at it, a united society overcomes adversity, while a fragmented society fails and reduces everyone to the lowest common denominator. We cannot permit the political class, particularly the progressive political class, to destroy our country for their own nefarious gains and ends.

Judge Robert Wiggins dealt a major setback to New York Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg in the lawsuit brought by Liberty Counsel against the same-sex marriage law.

www.LC.org

Livingston County, NY – Judge Robert Wiggins dealt a major setback to New York Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg in the lawsuit brought by Liberty Counsel against the same-sex marriage law (“Act”). In response to the flagrant violations of the New York state constitutional and legal procedures, Liberty Counsel filed suit in the New York Supreme Court against the Act, which was signed into law on June 24, 2011, by Gov. Cuomo. The state asked the court to dismiss the case, but yesterday afternoon, Judge Wiggins sided with Liberty Counsel on the Open Meetings complaint, ruling that the case may proceed to trial. Liberty Counsel represents New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms and several other plaintiffs.

New York law requires that a bill be printed and in its final form on the desks of the legislators three days prior to a vote, unless an emergency exists. Gov. Cuomo ignored the provision and declared an emergency, stating that waiting three days would deprive same-sex couples of marriage. Judge Wiggins wrote: “Logically and clearly this cite by the Governor is disingenuous. The review of such concept altering legislation for three days after generations of existing definitions would not so damage same-sex couples as to necessitate an avoidance of rules meant to ensure full review and discussion prior to any vote.” The judge then wrote that “although the disregard for the statute seems evident, the Court feels constrained to not rule on the Governor’s certification of necessity.”

However, on the Open Meetings complaint, Judge Wiggins wrote that “clear arm-twisting by the Executive on the Legislative permeates this entire process.” The Court noted that New York law requires every meeting of a public body to “be open to the general public,” with few exceptions, none of which apply here. On this significant aspect of the complaint, the court allowed the case to proceed to trial. Liberty Counsel will now pursue discovery on the Open Meetings violations, including the depositions of Cuomo, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and the President of the Senate.

Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, commented: “This is a victory for the people of New York and a setback to the political arm-twisters who tried to thwart the open meetings process. Discovery will show that the arm-twisting and closed-room deals to force passage of this same-sex marriage law were defiant violations of the Open Meetings law. When government operates in secret and freezes out the very people it is supposed to represent, the entire system fails. The law should be set aside, and the process should begin again to allow the people a voice in the process.”

Professor Abdullah Al-Nafisi gives us a chilling reminder of how ineffective our defenses are along the border where weapons would likely be smuggled in.

This video of Professor Abdullah Al-Nafisi reveals several problems we are currently facing. He is talking about the ease of using biological weapons against any populated area. It gives us a chilling reminder of how ineffective our defenses are along the border where such weapons would likely be smuggled in. The diminutive size of the weapon means in would fit in an automobile glove box or a business man’s briefcase.

It also means that it would not be difficult to smuggle into the United States in the backpack of a Mexican or Iranian slipping across the Rio Grande or in a fishing boat across one of the Great Lakes. Unfortunately the regime in Washington is more interested in keeping tabs on tea party members than keeping out potential Democrat voters.

Even with the threat of mass devastation, our government is more concerned with the devastation of their re-election prospects. Then we have the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that would rather pursue the supposed health hazards of civilian possession of guns than the prevention of death on such a massive scale.

Unfortunately, the operations of so many parts of our government have become so politicized that they couldn’t fulfill their intended functions if our lives depended on it… and they may well.

Just recently the CDC recommended an expansion of their intrusion into our lives and further destruction of parental rights to raise their children as they see fit, by recommending that boys receive Gardasil in addition to the girls who have already been forced to submit to the state while Merck & Company laughs all the way to the bank.

Usually, required drugs guard against diseases that are spread by casual contact. Gardasil works to prevent the human papillomavirus (HPV) that is most often spread through sexual contact. Again, our government is taking a broad brush approach to avoid dealing with the real issue.

A few years ago, it was found that 95% of HIV infected homosexual men in a San Francisco study had anal HPV infection as well. Half of these had precancerous HPV caused lesions. To protect the feelings of these people who have taken another path to satisfaction, and to obscure the real problem, once again we are all expected to put our children at risk. We are just to accept the decision of our betters that the drug that, as of the beginning of 2011, has caused the deaths of at least 103 young women. Beyond this, it has a history of producing seizures, strokes and a whole host of other ailments, with no know cure.

In either case, political correctness in our government prevents it from dealing with the real issues threatening our land. Our leaders are chasing one red herring after another, never willing to pursue the real danger. They are always more concerned with the danger to their political power.

Whether they are doing this purposely, or through ignorance of the real danger, the people running the show are a clear and present danger to every last one of us. We permit them to remain in power at our own risk. It’s fine to support your favorite candidate. Let’s just not do it to the point that splinters the opposition that will drive these liberal progressive academic theorists far from the levers of power.

Sure we need to deal with the Federal Reserve, EPA overreach, ObamaCare… but the first thing we have to do is pry the deranged Marxists from the city on the Potomac. That has got to be our first priority. We stop the hemorrhaging of our freedoms before the repairs can begin.

Morgan Freeman’s recent rant to Piers Morgan, where he came up with the imaginary quote from Mitch McConnell, is typical of the misleading and false statements – even lies, as I was taught in my younger, more innocent, years – we hear from the progressive left as they attempt to convince the public (and themselves) that there really is only one way to look at the world. If anyone can show us where the Senate Minority Leader ever said, “We’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here,” I’ll let them write the posts for the next three days so they can give us more of an insight into their world of fantasy.

People like Freeman, who I had a great deal of respect for up to this point, and mental midget, Janeane Garofalo, are brilliant examples of the way William F. Buckley saw the left. He told us, “Liberals do a great deal of talking about hearing other points of view, but it sometimes shocks them to learn that there are other points of view.” These people, who support their habits by pretending to be someone they are not, do not understand genuine disagreement with they see it. To their superficial thinking, opposition can on function on the surface of an issue, in an area that they can see and touch.

Since they are so jazzed that a black man is in our highest office, to them, it is only possible that opposition comes for the very same reason. Their enthusiasm prevents them from seeing the division and disaster he is bringing upon our country. They only see the shell of a slick lipped shyster who happens to look different than any president we’ve had in the past. They are so excited that they tend to forget that he is half white, and that half is fouling our nest just as badly as the darker skinned half.

To complete their hypocrisy, they refuse to accept as valid, the presence of conservative black citizens like Allen West, Herman Cain, Allen Keyes, Starr Parker or J.C. Watts, calling them all sorts of names that I will not even repeat here. These over paid and over pampered Hollywood and academic crowds believe that some people are just not capable of living in a free society. They think we all should throw some money in a pot and allow them to give it to their favored needy. Of course, when you have so much more than you need to meet your daily needs, it’s easy to say everyone should contribute more… it is a blatant disregard for the rest of the working people of our country who are struggling to keep one or two cars for their family, rather than a collection of fifteen.

Even worse, their position is a conscious devaluing of the concerns of people who disagree with the direction of our country on principle rather than because the driver looks different than them. It is so much easier to assign the motivation to baser instincts than to actually consider the reasons and respond to them. It is easier to call those wanting freedom and the ability to retain what they have earned names, rather than honestly considering the idea that objections may be valid.

I have been to many tea party events, have been an officer in the Republican party and know a great many conservative and libertarians looking so save our country from the Amateur Hour on the Potomac, and, among these freedom fighters, have yet to come across one who cares, in the least, that Obama’s skin is darker than theirs. In some cases, his is even lighter. How would they deal with that… other than to call these patriots an Uncle Tom or an Oreo. This is what passes for dialogue on the progressive left, and we just don’t have time for it with our country falling apart.

No one takes on a public policy stance without some firmly held belief, some foundational principle or worldview which they embrace, and from which they reason.

By Bob Larimer

No one takes on a public policy stance without some firmly held belief, some foundational principle or worldview which they embrace, and from which they reason.

What has been happening in our society for decades is a titanic battle between two powerful, competing worldviews.

Unfortunately, one of those worldviews has had the advantage of pretending to be a ‘reasonable’ belief that is ‘free from religion,’ and which has gained access to your tax dollars. We have been financing a takeover by a Christianity-replacing faith. The new PC faith, the belief system of true-believing liberals, is actually a thoroughly developed, reasonable-sounding worldview. It is self-identified as a “Bold new faith” which must be “Established” in “All mankind’s institutions and associations,” in Humanist Manifesto I.

And in Manifesto II we find the ultimate goal: “World Community TWELFTH: We deplore the division of humankind on nationalistic grounds. We have reached a turning point in human history where the best option is to transcend the limits of national sovereignty and to move toward the building of a world community in which all sectors of the human family can participate. Thus we look to the development of a system of world law and a world order based upon transnational federal government. This would appreciate cultural pluralism and diversity.”

Many citizens see the symptoms and the effects, but most people do not realize that there is a battle of major cultural significance, an all-out tug-of-war of ethics and ideology, happening in America.

This is how the new secular/progressive ‘faithful’ are organized and how they behave:

The ACLU are the legal enforcers of the new faith (Obedience), brandishing their flaming secular legal sword at any slightest whiff of Christianity that dares to pop up anywhere in public life.

The ACLU has been very visible and vocal in public policy struggles, though most citizens are mystified by the motives and strange positions taken by this so-called defender of ‘rights.’ The ACLU goes to court to enforce ’separation of church and state’ found, NOT in America’s Constitution, but found in the Humanist Manifestos and the old, failed Soviet Constitution, Article 52:

“The church shall be separate from the state, and the schools from the church.”

It is ironic, insulting and tragic that we finance a school system that enforces this Soviet version of our ‘rights.’

The ACLU and Humanism are philosophically and historically tied together.

Roger Baldwin, ACLU founder, stated categorically: “Communism is the goal!” He refused for the rest of his life to modify or retract this statement.

“In later years Baldwin occasionally wrote for The Humanist. On one occasion he reviewed a book for The Humanist by Corliss Lamont whose credentials as a Humanist include being named “Humanist of the Year” for 1977, being signatory to Humanist Manifesto II, and serving as honorary president of the AHA. Baldwin gave this evaluation of Lamont’s book: “It reads like an expanded annual report of the Civil Liberties Bureau.”(6) In addition to Lamont’s Humanist affiliations, he also sat on the ACLU board for many years, thus further demonstrating the compatibility of Humanism and the ACLU. (Eventually, Lamont did reject the ACLU because of its stand against communism.) Baldwin served as Director of the ACLU until 1949, but thereafter continued to influence the Union as a member of the National Advisory Council.” Read about it here.

‘Gay rights’ activists are the shock troops (Onward, true-believing soldiers), the politically astute, PC Inquisitors, the aggressive vanguard of the Humanists. Dare to question their ‘Diversity!’ mantra and you will face rage and possible lawsuits.

Environmental extremists are the preening, ‘righteousness’ arm of the Humanists, ’saving the planet’ (Salvation) whether you want their messianic ministry and their Big Brother garbage-monitoring e-chips forced on you or not. Insisting that we leave our own vast natural gas, coal and oil resources in the ground, so we can become third-world beggars like the rest of the ‘world community.’ And killing our economy as we enrich our enemies.

The ‘Choice’ crowd makes certain that the blood of innocent unborn children (Rituals) is offered up to their cause. Their noble efforts are not to be questioned, and regarding their ghoulish practices…just do not think about the 50 Million babies butchered so far.

Liberal politicians enforce charitable ‘tithing’ (Sacrificial giving) through confiscatory taxation, scolding about ‘fairness’ and equitable ‘redistribution’ of wealth and resources, then use the money to advance Humanist principles and grow their influence through tyrannical public policies.

Taxpayer-financed education – K-12 and university – provide training in the correct manner of thinking and behaving (Sunday School 5 days per week, and Missionary outreach), constantly demonstrating or subtly hinting that Christianity is primitive, dangerous, irrelevant or ‘harmful,’ and sanitizing any last vestige of a Christian heritage from our society, and teaching students to earnestly – erroneously – chant that “America was founded on freedom from religion!”

Teachers Unions – from the N.E.A. and down through outspoken activists in their state and local unions – and ‘International Unions’ are the fraternal organizations (Faith-based organizations) associated with the Religious Left, they give votes, money and activist shoe leather to the Humanist movement. They are also the most powerful, influential lobbyists in D.C. and your state Legislature, making all kinds of legislation, not just education, their business. Politicians are ordinarily afraid to defy them. That is one of the reasons for their vitriol and outrage against Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin.

“I am convinced that the battle for humankind’s future must be waged and won in the public school classroom by teachers that correctly perceive their role as proselytizers of a new faith: a religion of humanity that recognizes and respects the spark of what theologians call divinity in every human being… The classroom must and will become an arena of conflict between the old and new — the rotting corpse of Christianity, together with all its adjacent evils and misery, and the new faith of humanism, resplendent with the promise of a world in which the never-realized Christian ideal of ‘love thy neighbor’ will finally be achieved.” — “A Religion For A New Age,” The Humanist magazine, January-February 1983 [Volume 43, Number 1]

For any who remain skeptical about the influence of Humanism on education, just plug in the terms Life Long Learning, a comma, and Humanism into Google. You will get a tremendous amount of documentation that will demonstrate just how fully saturated with this new belief system all branches of education – and the training of educators – really are.

The dominant media culture – and entertainment media – are the high priests of the faith (Evangelism), always attacking the ‘Religious Right,’ but never once doing an expose’ on the ‘Religious Left.’ Have you ever seen a ‘news’ program about the Religious Left?

Gatherings of Humanist-indoctrinated faithful (Worship services), usually involve someone quoting disjointed poetry about someone’s village and someone elses’ children, or chanting protests and Humanist mantras. They can include inspiring music by special guests, and ghastly spectacles such as those screaming, chanting crowds, wearing theme T-shirts at the memorial services of innocent people gunned down in Arizona.

The gathering at the Capitol Mall in Wisconsin, complete with the Communist Party marching in solidarity with teachers unions and ‘international unions,’ along with Barack Hussein Obama’s own campaign organization (Organizing For America), are also participating in a noisy worship service. Their self-righteousness is on full display. Not much decorum or solemn assembly at such services? Well, it is after all, a different kind of faith.

Looking at the ways the cities of New York and Washington DC are planning to remember the tragic events of ten years ago, we see a picture of the society our secular progressives have been pushing for years.

Looking at the ways the cities of New York and Washington DC are planning to remember the tragic events of ten years ago, we see a picture of the society our secular progressives have been pushing for years. In New York, there is room for the politicians craving a photo op, but none for the heroes of that awful day, the families with empty chairs at the dinner table, or even the pastors, priests and rabbis that give spiritual comfort to a hurting city.

In Washington, at the National Cathedral even, there will be representatives of all sorts of fringe belief systems, but none from the largest groups of Christians in the land. It seems that religion is welcome in this venue only if it will be subservient to the secular wishes of the state. What can we expect from these gatherings? Nothing our founders would tolerate! Yet, like sheep, we follow blindly as we tolerate all the lies and misinformation that comes from the people in charge of our country.

Should we try to change these events? What would be the point? Islamic crazies have contended that they will make as much noise as possible during the moment of silence in New York. I have to wonder what the purpose of the moment of silence is at such a gathering. Certainly it is not to seek comfort from a Creator they fail to acknowledge.

Then there is the Washington ceremony. This brings us to the question of what makes a cathedral or church a church. Is it the fine building? Or is it the presence of God? Whether it is a great building like the National Cathedral, or a cement block building with a tin roof in a third world country or even an open meadow, it is the presence of the Almighty in the midst of sincere worshippers that makes it a church. Unfortunately, He has not been invited to this gathering in the fancy building or the one in the big apple.

If those who died and those who tried to save them are to be remembered, it is, once again, up to We the People. There are groups gathering at various spots around the nation to remember and to pray. They are not sanctioned by the government, but they are getting together for retrospection and introspection. Sure some may be there for self-serving purposes, but that’s not point of the meetings.

The government extravaganzas are designed to distract us from the hurt and anger we associate with the attack and encourage us to agree to everything and stand for nothing. They would have us believe that planting a tree or reading to blind kids is the way to heal the pain. Don’t get me wrong, planting trees and helping the handicapped are both worthy activities. They hardly measure up to the gravity of that day.

Remembering the day when when three thousand people went to work in the city, or boarded a plane on a business trip, or maybe a dream vacation and ended up dying in a war we didn’t even know we were involved in should cause us to consider the meaning of life, or at least its’ potential brevity.

If allowed to consider how these lives ended so suddenly, we may end up considering how we live each day and how we treat those around us. The media, in the way they refuse to show planes crashing into building, and our government does its’ best to keep that memory from our consciousness. Yet remember we must. The other thing we must remember is that it is a tragedy that so many people perished in such a violent manner, yet the ultimate fate of these 3000 people is no different than what we all will face at sometime. No one gets out of life alive.

There were eternal implications to the events of 9/11, just as there are for people who breath their last every day of the year. Sadly for those who crashed the planes and killed so many thinking they would be rewarded with 72 virgins, their perverted dreams didn’t materialized. They ultimately suffered the same fate as many of their victims who failed to recognize their creator. To remember the event and not consider the families and safety people and the ultimate destination of so many is, perhaps, a more heinous deed than the one we are commemorating.

Sunday morning, remember and pray with the folks at your church. If you want to get together with others, there may well be some in your area. One of them may be a simulcast featuring Anne Graham Lotz and Joel Rosenberg Sunday evening. http://www.annegrahamlotz.com/ Another option for an ongoing arrangement would be Awakening America.

Once again, the people are called upon to do the job the government refuses to do. Just remember II Chronicles 7:14: “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (NIV)

(YES, LIBERALS, IT’S TRUE)

Ever since the inception of the Tea Party, those of us who reject Barack Obama’s failed policies, big government, reckless spending, outrageous unemployment, Obamacare, Marxism, etc. have been viciously attacked by the left and called “racists” for no reason other than that we disagree with our far left liberal friends. Of course, those of us actually in the Tea Party know that the “racist” meme is nothing but the pathetic shouts of those who can’t address our legitimate concerns with fact, logic or reason. But regardless of the Black Tea Party members even holding press conferences to stop the “racism” lies from the left, the left refuses to stop their assaults on those who are exercising their rights to believe as they choose.

I have such admiration and respect for the Blacks, Hispanics, and other minorities who have faithfully attended the Tea Party Rallies and, despite harassment and abuse, support the conservative cause wholeheartedly. They take more grief than ANYONE, and I thought I had it bad being a conservative in Hollywood. It always amazes me that the so called “party of tolerance” doesn’t “tolerate” Blacks who have a mind of their own, calling them “Uncle Tom” or “Sellout” or “House Negro.” They have threatened to hang Clarence Thomas, and kill Rep. Allen West and his family, all because they are Blacks that didn’t get the message that they are to cooperate with Obama’s destructive agenda, or suffer vicious attacks. I am always stunned by the hypocrites on the left, who would light their hair on fire if we threatened Obama the way they threaten Black conservatives.

Today I was honored to attend the South Central LA Black Tea Party Rally, led by Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson. Jesse Lee Peterson is president and founder of The Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny (BOND), an American group dedicated to a conservative agenda among African Americans. Rev. Peterson is also the Founder and President of BOND Action, Inc., a nonprofit, 501 (c) (4) organization. He has hosted a cable TV program and a syndicated radio talk show. His radio show is cited by Republican groups as an example of a black Republican message, including denunciations of affirmative action as “reverse racism”. He is a member of Choose Black America, an organization of African Americans who oppose illegal immigration to the United States. He is also a member of the advisory board of Project 21, an African American conservative organization, and former board member of the California Christian Coalition. What an amazing man the Reverend is, who of course brought me to tears with his words.

The rally today was in protest of the race-baiting and lies of the NAACP, who were holding their convention at the LA Convention Center. Reverend Peterson’s message was clear and concise, positive and loving. His words reiterated what we all know – that Democrats have used Blacks as their voter pool, having instructed them to live on the Democrat Plantation, often something as lovely as the liberal Detroit slum, take their government checks, and vote Democrat. The Democrats have promoted the destruction of the Black family, and 70% of Black households now have no father. As Reverend Peterson pointed out, the government and the Democrats become “Daddy” and the endless cycle of lowered expectations, inferior education, early deaths from violent crimes, prison life, etc. all emanate from the policies of the left that set Blacks back from the advancement of the Civil Rights Movement the Republicans created, passed and fought against the Democrats to make law.

Of course Reverend Peterson led the group in prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and some great Tea Party Patriots got up and started us singing “God Bless America.” You know, all of those horrible, American things that liberals detest; our flag, our culture, God, prayer and patriotism. I wish I could tell them what they are missing, and how amazing it is to love our country, and our freedoms more than life itself. Being an emotional type, I was moved to tears so many times today that I was glad I had on some huge sunglasses to hide my eyes.

Just as an example of what “racists” the Tea Party people are…Here are a few pics we took today:

And this one is my favorite. In my opinion, THIS is what REAL “Hope” is. There were a lot of young kids running around, and at the end Reverend Peterson brought them all up to the podium. They were Black, White and Mixed Race children, all there waving flags, certainly sure that their futures have been threatened and destroyed by big government spending policies. These children are at a crossroads, and it’s time we start teaching our children the truth so their futures are bright ones.

God bless our Black Conservative brothers and sisters. They are the ones who have studied real American history, and have dissected the truth about who are the “racists” in this country. I highly encourage everyone to support Reverend Peterson and his cause, as well as the National Black Republican Association.
