Before the last election, Barack Hussein Obama’s closest adviser, Iranian born Valerie Jarrett showed she learned the “Chicago way” of politics well when she said:
After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.
This is from the woman who, in the safety of our nation’s capitol, has far more security than our American ambassador in a hostile nation. It is hardly what one would hear from the confidant of a president of all the people. Then there are the words of the president himself in his book Audacity of Hope:
I owe those unions. When their leaders call, I do my best to call them back right away. I don’t consider this corrupting in any way.
We have seen for years, the conflict between the public welfare and the welfare of unions and their members… particularly in the public sector, but not exclusively. Obama clearly, by his words and by his actions, has shown that the taxpayers come in a distant second to the thuggery of the various unions who funnel millions of dollars and tens of thousands of man-hours to his campaign and to the campaigns of his nefarious allies.
In the same book, he (or ghost writer, Bill Ayers) also wrote of the Muslims:
I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.
He stands with the unions and the Muslims. Has anyone ever heard or read where he declared he would stand with the American people? Instead, the Obama regime has been fighting a constant battle against anyone who stands in the way of his socialist agenda. His landmark achievement, ObamaKare, is filled with bits and pieces intolerable for conservative Christians and Muslims. The difference is that he has granted waivers for the offensive portions to the Muslims he has promised to stand with… but not to Christian groups.
He has put these Christian groups in a position of either following God’s Word or following the letter of unconstitutional laws. These laws have not just been applied to organizations of an overtly religious nature, but to businesses run by people of principle who understand there is a higher authority than any government. It is encouraging to see people standing against this attack on Christian beliefs and principles… people who have taken to heart the words of Peter and John when they were ordered to stop preaching about the risen Lord, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge.”
As the persecution continues, the value of each stand for right increases. Billy Graham wisely noted, “Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” Whether it is encouraging others or making the stand ourselves, with God’s grace and strength, we can make the right choices, whatever the circumstances.
But, it’s not just a battle against Christians. Using the recent tragedies where unstable young men on psychotropic drugs took the lives of far too many innocent people using weapons the uninformed or disinforming media to call “assault weapons”, he wants to disarm the millions of law abiding Americans who mind their own business and live in a dangerous world with inadequate protection from those responsible for our public safety. Statistics show that armed citizens are fully capable of protecting themselves in many cases and present no danger to those around them.
Yet, they persist in their efforts to take away weapons from innocent citizens. Why would this be? Could it be that the regime is afraid that armed citizens would not submit to the rule Obama is attempting to impose on our land. He understands, as should we, that an armed man is a citizen, while an unarmed man is a subject. When one desires subjects, it’s easy to see the why and the how of the current attack on our second amendment rights and those working to protect them.
Then there are the intrusive EPA attacks, both on business and on individuals who stand in the way of their agenda… destroying farms, businesses and lives. Recently Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli won a victory in court over these people who wanted to classify runoff water as a pollutant and actually tear down peoples homes to correct what these overzealous tree huggers wanted to call a problem. It’s as if they were actually trying to prove the words of that great American philosopher, Groucho Marx who told us, “Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies.”
We have a rogue regime whose agenda does not include the welfare of the American people. They understand many people oppose their plans to control our country, and the “Chicago way” is to brutalize opposition and beat them into submission. We can stand for what is right, and take a beating if necessary, or bend our knee to evil.
