Tearing Down the Tower of Babel

babelIn the past, German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said, “Multikulti, we are now living side by side and are happy about it.” She was echoing the politically correct mantra we have been hearing for decades. The idea that a common culture and language is not necessary for a smooth functioning society is a fantasy that academic idealists have been pushing for years. This thinking derives from the teachings that there are no absolutes, that all cultures and all values are moral equivalents and that those who believe one way is the answer, such as we poor deluded Christians would contend, were just plain wrong. This seems to be an absolute position in itself.

That was in the past. Having lived with the results of this philosophy, the lady showed a higher degree of perception than most world leaders when she addressed some younger members of her Christian Democratic Union (CDU), telling them that the much hyped and worshiped multiculturalism was an utter failure. She saw that pockets of people living by totally different values, work ethics and abilities did not fit in well with the solid, precise and productive German way of life. The problem was not so much that the newcomers looked different and spoke other languages, the problem was that they had no intention of integrating into the host country’s system, but instead, expected the Germans to bend to their demands and accept such idiosyncrasies as sharia law.

What Chancellor Merkel saw, was the same thing the people of Michigan are seeing, which is the same thing the people of Arizona and New Mexico are seeing. Conflicting cultures do not provide for a peaceful and productive society, particularly when those who have just arrived have little or no respect for the existing ways of the people.

This does not come as a surprise to those of who pay attention to the world around us and have studied much in the way of history. In fact, anyone who has read the eleventh chapter of Genesis knows that breaking down a common culture and language, eventually leads to cultural issues will destroy it’s ability to accomplish anything of value.

When the people living in the plain of Shinar decided “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” God knew this was possible for them, if they worked together. He said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”

The Almighty knew that people working together, having common goals, with communication flowing smoothly could accomplish pretty much anything they set their minds to. Such was the US a generation ago. We had a pretty much common identity. Most of us were proud to be Americans and believed in ourselves and our neighbors. Immigrants came with the idea of becoming Americans, of taking part in their new country. However, by permitting the cancers of political correctness and multiculturalism to take hold, we not only lost our common language and culture, but we also lost our vision of America as a good place and its people as a good people worth defending. Instead of the Creator destroying this special land He gave us, we are doing it to ourselves! It is also possible that we have not been profitable servants and He has permitted these problems to come upon us.

We lost our way by giving credence to those to do not think ours is a good country worth defending. We began a downward spiral, opening ourselves up in a suicidal embrace of everything our founding fathers sought to separate themselves from. By allowing the politically correct elite to give us a false sense of right and wrong, we have destroyed the cohesion that defeated the axis powers during World War II and put a man on the moon a generation later.

It’s time we send the naysayers packing and, once again, take hold of the truly American ideals of freedom and true acceptance of those that want to come along side us and join in our victory. Those that do not, cannot be regarded as good neighbors. Otherwise we will just have to tell our grandchildren of the great country we once had and apologize for letting it slip away.

The reason elitists do n ot want common lanuguages and culture, is to keep confusion, as we obey them, as the ruling class! Truely, Tower of Babel!!
