Words Have Meaning

cusackRecently actor, John Cusack tweeted, “I AM FOR A SATANIC DEATH CULT CENTER AT FOX NEWS HQ AND OUTSIDE THE OFFICES ORDICK ARMEYAND NEWT GINGRICH-and all the GOP WELFARE FREAKS” While showing a break with reality and some inarticulate expression, he is just the latest in the line of celebrities who believe their status in the world of make believe qualifies them to tell the rest of us, the little people in flyover country, how we should live and what we should believe. In sharing his wisdom, he joins the likes of Sheryl Crow who thinks we should restrict ourselves to a single block of toilet paper rather than a whole string of them… or the mental giant known as Lady Gaga.

While I have not seen much from Cusack lately, I am somewhat disturbed by the extreme nature of his remarks as he starred in one of my favorite films, Grosse Point Blank. Either he doesn’t understand the power of his words among the simple minded who hang on every word of People magazine and Entertainment Tonight interviews, or perhaps, he really would not be too upset if one of these followers would take his advice and actually try to harm some of these good people. It is instructive to observe Cusack’s hypocrisy in advocating violence against an organization like FoxNews because, to his convoluted thinking, it is promoting violence.

What is even more amazing is that people who make their living pretending to be someone they are not should be considered to have a high degree of astuteness. What does that tell us about the audience who would rather take advice from drug addled performers with pretty faces than find things out and think things through for themselves? “Top Secret America”: The Rest Of The Story

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on August 30, 2010 under Why | Be the First to Comment

TopSecretThe Monday, July 19, 2010, edition of The Washington Post featured an investigative report entitled “Top Secret America,” with the subtitle, “A hidden world, growing beyond control.” The report begins, “The top-secret world the government created in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, has become so large, so unwieldy and so secretive that no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it or exactly how many agencies do the same work.

“These are some of the findings of a two-year investigation by The Washington Post that discovered what amounts to an alternative geography of the United States, a Top Secret America hidden from public view and lacking in thorough oversight. After nine years of unprecedented spending and growth, the result is that the system put in place to keep the United States safe is so massive that its effectiveness is impossible to determine.

“The investigation’s other findings include:

*Some 1,271 government organizations and 1,931 private companies work on programs related to counterterrorism, homeland security and intelligence in about 10,000 locations across the United States. Read more of this article »

A Tale of Three Speakers

DC RallyThe speaker told us the story of slave trader John Newton and his encounter with the truth about the evil he had done, and about his redemption through the work of Jesus Christ. The sound of a bagpipe playing Newton’s song, and theme of his later life, Amazing Grace, drifted across the crowd. Finally, more than half a million voices were raised with the words that told of Newton’s life, the speaker’s life, my life and the lives of everyone that has found peace with God.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear

Can’t We Work Together?

Posted by Larry Miller on August 26, 2010 under How | 2 Comments to Read

marco-rubioI have a friend who was kind of negative on most things that did not originate with him. Some thought it gave him a little prickly personality at times. He believed his “gift” was to see what was wrong with most anything, and then tell people about it. A few years ago, he came to the conclusion that this “gift” really was not a gift at all, but simple negativism. We all mellow with age and experience and his revelation helped, not only my friend, but me as well… since I had (and at times still have) that “gift”.

Why do I bring this up at this time? Our country is facing the most dangerous days it has since we pushed the British occupiers from our shores or the darkest days of World War II. We need to focus on the objective of gutting this current congress and taking away the compliant and foolish congress that has given Barack Hussein Obama just about every thing he has desired. This current congress is composed of both Republicans and Democrats who have lost their love of country and replaced it with love of government and power.

The thing that bothers me most is the way we eat our own. I am one who is most comfortable working with people that share ALL my values. Many times we freedom loving people who believe in principles over personal loyalty, tend to be fairly narrow in circle of trusted associates. I often see this after primaries that can get brutal at times because we have several candidates and their followers who each believe they have the only correct answers. Fortunately we have seen a good number of tea party victories where established, machine backed candidates have met defeat at the hands of an angry electorate. Read more of this article »

You Want THEM To Control Healthcare?

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on August 25, 2010 under How | Be the First to Comment

govtwasteAmong the scariest words ever heard are, “We are from the federal government, and we are here to help you.” Shiver me timbers, matey! When you hear those words, pick up your peg leg and RUN, because you are about to get hammered. And that is exactly what is fixing to happen to the American people when the new Obama national healthcare law is fully implemented: we are going to get hammered.

Anyone who believes that the federal government can manage anything efficiently is 8 years old, rationally challenged, or in the business of profiting from the federal government’s inefficiency. The only thing the federal government can do with precision is destroy things (and people). That is the one thing the feds can do with complete and total proficiency. Our first and greatest President, George Washington, understood this reality. He said, “Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” Amen.

A recent AP report should serve as another illustration as to the folly of trusting the federal government with the supervision and care of anything beyond those narrowly limited responsibilities defined in the US Constitution. The July 27, 2010, report said, “A U.S. audit has found that the Pentagon cannot account for over 95 percent of $9.1 billion in Iraq reconstruction money, spotlighting Iraqi complaints that there is little to show for the massive funds pumped into their cash-strapped, war-ravaged nation.” Read more of this article »

A Faithful Remnant

Posted by Larry Miller on August 24, 2010 under How | Read the First Comment

babyloniancaptivityIn the book of Jeremiah, the prophet talks about God asking why His people turned away from him to idols made of wood and stone who could neither hear, answer nor even care about the people The comparison is made between the times when the people sought after Him and when they went off in other directions. At one time, the people lived in the land of prosperity and then the land of captivity. The people of Judah, not content with the God of Abraham, that had led them out of Egypt into the promised land, left their heritage and pursued the gods of the surrounding neighbors, who, being only pieces of stone or wood, had no power to help them at all… and finally they were led as captives to a foreign land.

While this is a sad tale, is there something we can learn from their experience? Human nature is such that we tend to quickly become discontented with whatever it is we have. After the reign of King Solomon, the people of Israel could not even get along amongst themselves. The northern tribes split from the kingdom and quickly added worship of pagan gods to their religious practices. The “more righteous” southern kingdom of Judah held on longer, but eventually succumbed to the lure of being like the surrounding peoples and adopted their multiplicity of deities.

The effect was not adding power to their practices, instead it moved them out from under the protective wing of their creator. We, in the United States, emerged from World War II as the premier superpower of the world. Our industrial capacity was intact, and our land was unscathed by the horrors of war. We were the arsenal of democracy and the leader of the free world. Our country was not perfect as the work and sacrifice of leaders like Martin Luther King Jr, Medgar Evers and a whole host of other lesser known martyrs for the cause of civil rights would attest. Virginia Patriot Speaks Again

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli responded to a request from fellow patriot, Delegate Bob Marshall about the legality of regulating abortion clinics. Del. Marshall publicized this historic opion in the following press release.

VIRGINIA CAN REGULATE ABORTION CLINICS TO PROTECT WOMEN

Virginia’s Attorney General, Ken Cuccinelli issued an opinion that “the Commonwealth has the authority to promulgate regulations for facilities in which first trimester abortions are performed, as well as for providers of first trimester abortions, so long as the regulations adhere to constitutional limitations.”

“This is a victory for women and children across Virginia,” said Delegate Bob Marshall. It is my hope that the Governor will issue health regulations as soon as possible.”

Delegate Marshall had asked for the Attorney General’s opinion earlier this year. Virginia’s Department of Health had regulated abortion clinics until Chuck Robb became Governor and ended the practice. Read more of this article »

Collectivism vs The Individual

socialismBy David Atlee

Kirsten Powers is a liberal contributor to Fox News and she was interviewed by AOL’s Matt Lewis this week. Matt asked Kirsten how her faith has shaped her politics. Fair question. Her answer was the quintessential foundation of modern-day liberalism: “I also now see humanity as totally interconnected and am completely anti-individualism. It’s sad that Americans believe that individualism is so great, because I really do believe we would be a better country if we held the concept of community as a higher value.” Yes. That warm, fuzzy feeling that sends “tingling sensations” up the legs of Chris Matthews, the concept of ‘we are one’. Now, on the surface it does sound utopian and wonderful. Who wouldn’t want to be in a country where everyone is stress free and happy? Reality is a female dog though. This kind of society can’t work. Ask Cuba, Venezuela, The Soviet Union, or North Korea how their extreme anti-individual, collectivist society is working or worked out.

It’s no secret that liberals loathe the individual and worship collectivism. Barack Obama claimed he wanted to “spread the wealth around” so “everyone has a fair shot“. Hillary Clinton has a couple famous quotes regarding collectivism such as: “It takes a village to raise a child.” and “We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.” Nanci Pelosi on spending tax dollars on the ‘poor’: “Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these [poor] people the standard of living they would like to have as ‘Americans.” – Of course. We must guarantee people who are too lazy or too incompetent to provide their own standard of living some sort of assurances that they will be taken care of by Big Brother. But, the most famous anti-individual in the last couple of centuries is the father of modern Communism himself, Karl Marx: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” This is just one glaringly obvious similarity between the thought process of liberals and Karl Marx. The “Gay” Siege of the Church, Part 2

Posted by Alexis Wallace on August 19, 2010 under Why | Read the First Comment

gayhandsAbraham interceded for G-d to avert the destruction of Sodom on the strength of his righteousness and his generational covenant with G-d (Genesis 18: 16-19). Within the process of his bargaining the Lord agreed to not destroy the city, if He could find 10 righteous people that were not contaminated by the prevalent sin of the city; homosexuality.

For me, there is the immediate temptation to show the spiritual significance of the number ten as the perfection of divine order, this we see from: the 10 commandments; the 10 clauses of the Lord’s prayer; our tithe of 10 percent; and Abraham’s 10 trials. But, what is more significant here is the fact that by the time these angels reached Lot’s home in Sodom, the flames of homosexuality had engulfed the city.

Not only could they not find 10 righteous people to save the city, but the sodomites of the city wanted to rape the holy angels (Genesis 19:5). Lot went out to try and reason with the sodomites not to do the wicked thing that they desired with his guests, but they were so consumed with their passion that they could not hear the voice of reason: Read more of this article »

Christian Charity

INDIA-RELIGION-TERESAI received a comment on one of my blog posts that read, in part, “He also tells us to love our enemies, do good to those who persecute us, be kind, patient, never keep account of wrongs done to you, plus a few other things like love one another so the world will see what it means to be a christian. I honestly do not see any of these qualities in any of those promoting what you are promoting.” I considered his words for a while and noted that the writer shows a very narrow view of what it means to live a Christian life. The rest of the note showed that he was apparently infected with teachings known variously as “social gospel” or “liberation theology”. While there are minor variations, both are nothing more than Marxism dressed up in Christian terminology.

Some may ask why this is a problem. The problem is that Marxism is a totally humanistic, materialistic, world view that presents a mechanistic picture of humanity and sees man only in terms of his economic and physical needs. It sees him as incapable and unworthy of functioning with out an overpowering state to meed his needs and direct his activities. He then becomes enslaved to those who provide for him what they prevent him from providing for himself.

Because of this, if we truly believe that each of us is a unique creation, endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights we have to reject the sameness and regimentation promoted by those who believe economic redistribution is the way to heaven on earth. The systems that try to accomplish this only succeed in stifling the unique and beautiful spirit in each of us as they try to fit each one into a one size fits all mold. Read more of this article »

Devilish Details

madisonMuch of original American law was derived from English common law. Today, it’s unlikely that the American body of law resembles English law. Two hundred–plus years of legislating (mischief-making, most of it) have changed the legal landscape of the United States.

Where do we find most of our American Law?

U.S. Constitution – I can carry a copy of the Constitution in my purse! The Constitution is available here in a single HTML page.

Legislation (or “statutory law”) is law which has been enacted by a legislature or other governing body. (See above commentary about the size of the Constitution)

Administrative Law -administrative authority entails the power to issue rules and regulations based on statutes, grant licenses and permits to facilitate the conduct of government business. Code upon code regulates nearly every activity of American Life, dwarfing the size of the bill that started the ball rolling, including those 2000-page bills. States, Not Supreme Court, Must Decide Law And Protect Freedom

Supreme CourtI am going to borrow heavily from two outstanding columns that appear on my son’s website, LibertyDefenseLeague.com. One author, Russell Longcore, is a publisher; the other, Wilton Strickland, is an attorney. Both are avid proponents of State sovereignty and independence.

Longcore’s column is entitled “Edwin Vieira on Secession, New World Order and the American Republic.” See it at: http://tinyurl.com/longcore-on-secession

Strickland’s column is entitled “Staying Away From The Federal Courthouse.”

See it at: http://snipurl.com/strickland-avoid-fed-court

Both of these gentlemen share my conviction that the only chance we have to maintain and defend liberty in these United States is for free and independent states to rise in righteous indignation against the onslaught of federal tyranny that is rapidly destroying our republic. America–as one nation–is beyond redemption. The federal government is too arrogant, too malevolent, and too drunk with power to ever allow itself to be returned to the principles of federalism and constitutionalism. And this is true no matter which of the two political parties is in charge. Read more of this article »

The Constitution Ride Has Begun

Posted by Larry Miller on August 15, 2010 under How | Be the First to Comment

crlogoEleven O’clock Sunday morning about two hundred freedom loving Americans gathered at the Bell Tower on the grounds of the Capitol of Virginia for the first rally in the Constitution Ride Across America. They heard from several patriotic congressional congressional candidates as well as from Daren Gardner who will be traveling across the country bringing attention to the value of our historic Constitution For the United States of America… a document valued by many, but disregarded by those who see it as a hindrance to governmental expansion sought by our progressive would-be masters.

Note that it is the Constitution FOR the United States of America… not “of”, as many people think of it. There is a difference, “of” refers the past and, possibly present, where the word “for” is past, present and future. The document was formed by our history to guide our future. Now there are those who want to change our future from one of freedom to one of bondage. We may have just a short window of time to put a stop to it – hence the ride.

At each rally, a state legislator will receive a copy of the constitution and sign a pledge to work to keep the US Constitution as the guide for government in our great country. The first one to receive the copy, was citizen legislator and small business owner, Delegate John Cox of Hanover County, appropriately representing the district that was Patrick Henry’s home. Glenn Beck, an American Prophet?

Posted by Larry Miller on August 12, 2010 under How | 3 Comments to Read

Glenn-BeckMany people who love their country and yearn for a time when good was sought after and evil was to be avoided, swear by commentator Glenn Beck. Yet others who claim the same value system look on him as a shyster looking to make a buck (or a bunch of bucks) off the angst of the American people. Of course there are those who say the same thing about Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin.

Some point to the time a while back when he came on the Fox and Friends morning show promising to expose the FEMA camp stories. He said that he thought they were just rumors until he looked into them… then promised to show proof they existed on his evening television show. When 5 o’clock rolled around the story changed to a debunking session. This is viewed as proof that he sold out to whoever in government wanted to keep them secret. He has also lost credibility with some viewers over his treatment of “birthers”.

Yet, who among us has not made mistakes. Who among us has never failed. Even the prophet Isaiah, when confronted by the living God, recognized his own inadequacies and declared, “Woe to me! I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.” If even this spiritual giant had his flaws, are we right to expect perfection of any one? Federalist 41

General View of the Powers Conferred by the Constitution

For the Independent Journal.

Author: James Madison

To the People of the State of New York:

THE Constitution proposed by the convention may be considered under two general points of view. The FIRST relates to the sum or quantity of power which it vests in the government, including the restraints imposed on the States. The SECOND, to the particular structure of the government, and the distribution of this power among its several branches. Under the FIRST view of the subject, two important questions arise: 1. Whether any part of the powers transferred to the general government be unnecessary or improper? 2. Whether the entire mass of them be dangerous to the portion of jurisdiction left in the several States? Is the aggregate power of the general government greater than ought to have been vested in it? This is the FIRST question. It cannot have escaped those who have attended with candor to the arguments employed against the extensive powers of the government, that the authors of them have very little considered how far these powers were necessary means of attaining a necessary end. They have chosen rather to dwell on the inconveniences which must be unavoidably blended with all political advantages; and on the possible abuses which must be incident to every power or trust, of which a beneficial use can be made. Going Back To A Classic

Posted by Larry Miller on August 10, 2010 under How | Be the First to Comment

goldwaterI recently picked up a copy of Barry Goldwater’s The Conscience of a Conservative. I first read the book during my mid sixties college days and involvement in Young Americans for Freedom. It was a manifesto for the young generation of conservatives who know there was something our country lacked and were searching for a source of direction.

As I re-read the book, I was amazed that for all the wisdom contained in the book… at the way he saw the beginnings of problems we are facing today. Whether it was greedy union bosses, farm subsidies, the growing welfare state, or the excessive taxes and deficits, the Senator from Arizona not only described the problems them, but accurately predicted the detrimental effects of our inaction.

Despite the impassioned warning to a young generation of activists, our country continued on the path to progressive destruction. We’ve had occasional respites, such as times under Ronald Reagan. However, even with the wisdom of his leadership, the we only saw a slowing of the plunge into darkness. Read more of this article »

The Grinch Who Stole Conservatism

Posted by Chuck Baldwin on August 9, 2010 under How | Be the First to Comment

GingrichThe GOP is frantically searching for the person who will lead them to the Promised Land (translate: White House) in 2012. Barack Obama is leaving a death stench so heavy that even most of the political allies in his own party are asking him to stay away from their reelection campaigns. You gotta give it to Obama: he has done in one term what most Presidents cannot accomplish until their second (lame duck) term. The problem is, the GOP just can’t seem to find their Moses (or even their Ronald Reagan). That means, as far fetched as it sounds now, Obama has a good chance of being reelected. And, once again, when any Democrat candidate for President wins, the GOP will have no one to blame but themselves. 2012 could be another example.

You see, the GOP (including their lackeys at Fox News) either really don’t know what a constitutional conservative looks like, or they do know what he or she looks like and don’t want them leading the party. I believe the answer is the latter, but in either case, the GOP continually does nothing to groom constitutionalist conservatives for leadership. Just the opposite: such people are routinely ignored, shunned, besmirched, or impugned. (Can anyone say, “Ron Paul”?) Is it any wonder that by the time the general election comes around, the GOP candidate for President is usually nothing more than a Democrat-lite, or a “Democrat in Drag” to borrow from Steve Farrell.

That brings me to one of the people that the talking heads at Fox News and other GOP propaganda centers are routinely discussing as their 2012 Presidential hopeful: former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich. Read more of this article »

Remembering Ten Who Cared

Tom Little

This weekend we heard the tragic news that a medical team working to bring basic services to the villagers of Afghanistan were brutally gunned down by Taliban thugs. Although their purpose was to meet the physical needs of poor third world residents, Islamic terrorists, unsure that their beliefs could stand up to another viewpoint, had to put a stop to it.

Unfortunately, for Americans who included dentist, Thomas Grams, Cheryl Beckett who worked in nutritional gardening and mother-child care, Glen Lapp, administrator of the group, optometrist Tom Little and Dr. Karen Woo, along the Dan Terry who lived the last thirty years in Afghanistan, along with four others from from Germany and Great Britain, and two Afghanis, those hiding in the mountains and wanting to return the country to Sharia law under their control let their paranoid delusions lead them to deprive their fellow countrymen of desperately needed aid with the slaughter of these innocent humanitarian workers… and then to boast about it.

The ten were working with the International Assistance Mission whose web site describes the organization’s mission as “an international charitable, non-profit, Christian organisation, serving the people of Afghanistan, through capacity building in the sectors of Health and Economic Development.” As with any such organization working in repressive environments, they understand that working to help “the least of these” means sticking to the task at hand and not proselytizing the people they help. Confusion About Prop 8

prop8The recent action of Judge Vaughn Walker in his attempt to strike down California’s referendum supported effort to retain conventional marriage brought out all sorts of information, misinformation and disinformation from all sorts of people. More often than not, these comments reveal more about the commentator than about the situation. Tweetering twit Perez Hilton commented “Gay marriage is not about politics. It’s about real people – and families!”

This tells us two things, first he believes his values should be universally accepted without discussion, probably because he, like most progressives, believes he is smarter than the rest of us. His tweet was picked up and forwarded by many who wash occasionally and who often think Barack Hussein Obama is a legitimate president. He does not understand that politics is about the relationship between people and their government, and now, particularly with the government sticking it’s nose in just about every aspect of our lives, EVERYTHING IS ABOUT POLITICS.

Then we have the judge himself. He man proved that he does understand the roots of our country or the way normal people live. He is a puzzlement and shows that even Reagan had a less than perfect record in appointing judges… even though it didn’t come about until W’s daddy seated him on the federal court. Being a homosexual himself, he really should have recused himself rather than fashion the law to suit his preferences, rather than the people’s. Read more of this article »

We Have Survived Worse

Posted by Larry Miller on August 4, 2010 under Why | Be the First to Comment

hippieIt’s kind of hard not to feel like the world is spinning out of control and we have absolutely no input into the major or even minor decisions of our lives. Over seven out of ten Americans supported Arizona’s attempt to put a crimp in the illegal invasion from the south, yet a Clinton appointed judge overruled their efforts. Missouri voters, in about the same proportion, just cast their votes to be exempted from the despised Obamacare. However, no one is holding their breath for the health control abomination to be stopped, just because the people don’t want it.

Now, in the most recent rejection of public sentiment a California judge set aside the results of a referendum where the good people of the state voiced their desire to retain the traditional marriage composition of one man and one woman. Following the usual progressive objection that this thinking was too restrictive and left those with other inclinations unprotected, the judge set herself above the people, where most progressives believe they belong anyway, and nixed the election results. I’m not sure what kind of protection the judge thought they needed. No one is keeping them from performing their acts of depravity… and we already have laws protecting them from having the tar beaten out of them, no matter how annoying some of them may be.

It seems like the only reason this administration cares about what the American people want is to do the opposite. These days, we hear talk of FEMA camps, secession, rebellion and civil unrest. Our country has survived a bloody civil war and, more recently, we survived the assassination of a president. A few years later our country went through the convulsions of the murders of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. Riots tore at the heart of a hundred cities and our finest young men were coming home by the hundreds, then thousands, in body bags from Vietnam. The atmosphere in the country was so poisonous that Lyndon Johnson was forced to drop out of the presidential race rather than run for a second term. Such was the work of new left as they flexed they muscles and worked to bring about a socialistic revolution. Read more of this article »

“Babeu told CNSNews.com that rather than help law enforcement in Arizona stop the hundreds of thousands of people who come into the United States illegally, the federal government is targeting the state and its law enforcement personnel.

“‘What’s very troubling is the fact that at a time when we in law enforcement and our state need help from the federal government, instead of sending help they put up billboard-size signs warning our citizens to stay out of the desert in my county because of dangerous drug and human smuggling and weapons and bandits and all these other things and then, behind that, they drag us into court with the ACLU.’ Babeu said.” Read more of this article »

The “Gay” Siege of the Church

gayhandsHe had a pastel, bouquet for a pocket piece and a suit the color of the clouds. Quickly he glided to the front of the church, giving directions for the choir to begin.

The House of G-d is under siege in this season, but the enemies in the war are not rugged warriors; hardened from the rigors of their battles, the enemies in this case are the effeminate sodomites that refuse to change in G-d’s presence.

Deuteronomy 23:17: There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

There are those that love to justify homosexuality and that would be quick to point out that the original Hebrew word used here for sodomite, “qadesh”, means temple prostitute. But being a sodomite has a wider contextual significance when we remember the divine judgment of G-d against the twin cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, the inhabitants of whom G-d calls wicked sinners (Genesis 13:13). Was Weiner Wrong?

Posted by Larry Miller on August 1, 2010 under How | Be the First to Comment

I find myself in the unusual position of defending Congressman Anthony Weiner… though not completely. The video above, which was widely disseminated shows the man breaking decorum in the House of Representatives. Surely we can’t always function in the mode of anger, but as Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven” and later in the chapter, “a time to be silent and a time to speak.”

What we saw in the explosion was a man filled with passion. Unfortunately, that passion was directed in the direction of one bad and false idea after another. Yet, his behavior shows an anger and impatience with those who value process and procedure over results. We see so many of our elected representatives who have accepted the “dignity” of their position and the push to “go along to get along” as a straight jacket and muffler that keeps them from keeping their campaign promises to really make the changes in our government that the people want and need.
