An Open Letter To Tea Party Leaders

Dear Tea Party Leaders,

Here is a National Law Journal article that shows the “insiders” know they must co-opt or diffuse the Tea Party influence for the Kagan nomination to succeed.

Tea Party coordinators last week said they’re still assessing Kagan’s nomination, and it isn’t yet apparent whether it will become a priority for them. Mark Meckler, a California-based coordinator for Tea Party Patriots, a national group, said any efforts by the group to defeat Kagan’s nomination would have to start at the local level, and he hasn’t yet heard a push to do so.

There NEEDS to be a push to do so.

Read below the spin-meister line “wonderful credentials”. What WISE citizen cares about “credentials” especially academic credentials with revolving door government credentials? Far, far more important is commitment to Original Intent of this Constitution. Harvard Law School leads the nation AGAINST this Constitution and original intent.

Investigate Kagan’s past writings, and when Dean of Harvard Law, showing PREJUDICE against America’s Military recruiters on campus. Did she ban ACLU from recruiting on campus?  If NOT, then she VIOLATES EQUAL JUSTICE FOR ALL.

Kirkham said Kagan has “wonderful credentials,” though he said he’s disturbed by her stance on military recruiters while dean of Harvard Law School. Other than that, he said, he believes most Utah Tea Party activists will watch the hearings primarily to make sure that Kagan is not “an activist judge” who would expand federal power.

There are many indications of Kagan being a big government liberal, or even fairly called a socialist.

While a “small victory” to defeat the Kagan nomination, remember that the Trenton Raid by General Washington during the Revolution was a “small victory”, but it had HUGE significance to MORALE to the troops, and eventual winning the war.

The WAR is NOT in the FULL SENATE.  The war is won in the BATTLE in the Senate Judiciary Committee.  Lindsey Graham, and now by this article, possibly Senator Hatch have to be pressured by the Tea Party Patriots to VOTE AGAINST KAGAN in COMMITTEE.

Letters, faxes and phone calls need to flood the Republican Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

If EVERY ONE votes against Kagan in the Judiciary Committee, her nomination dies in committee, and does NOT go forth to the full Senate.  If ONE Republican votes for Kagan, then the nomination goes to the full Senate where she will be confirmed.

Last time, Senator Lindsey Graham was the ONLY Republican to vote in committee for Sotomayor.
