Advice From Hillary’s Husband
Former President Bill Clinton had, to his mind, some sage advice for the American people, and that is, “We shouldn’t demonize the government or its public employees or its elected officials, We can disagree with them, we can harshly criticize them. But when we turn them into an object of demonization, we increase the number of threats.” He says he is concerned that there may be another Timoth McVeigh waiting in the wings to be egged on by aggressive rhetoric on the part of “right-wing media.” Never mind that McVeigh’s actions were in response to the slaughter of men, women and children at Waco, TX by agents of our national government.
This is coming from a man speaking in support of an administration whose stock-in-trade is the demonization of their perceived political enemies. We have seen this from his days as an ACORN attorney through the trashing of health insurance companies as the cause of all our health care woes. As a disciple of Saul Alinsky, who, not coincidentally, was an inspiration for Mrs. Clinton, the current president would make the late mentor proud as he follows his instructions to “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it.” It is unfortunate for Mr. Alinsky that his current place of abode does not permit him to enjoy the resurgence in his plans for world domination.
Mr. Clinton seems to be oblivious to several facts that are plain as the nose on his face, or the cigar in his mouth, to any American… particularly tea party types. Being a confirmed liberal, he does not comprehend why people would not want to have government take care of their needs. He does not understand why people would rather be free than enslaved to an uncaring, and sometimes downright perverse, bureaucracy. As one whose wife clawed their way into the political establishment, he does not know why citizens would not trust those running the government.
The point is, Sick Willie does not seem to know anyone who has read the founding documents or the writings of the likes of Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry. People who live in the beltway cocoon just don’t share the passion of people who see the the world we grew up in… and loved, destroyed by the barbarians looking to loot their bank accounts run up debts to be paid by their grandchildren. Then again, they probably don’t know about the way a mother lion will defend her young.
So while the former president is telling us to sit down and be quiet as the current Resident is laughing at the tea partiers and destroying the land we love, there are people trying to disguise themselves as patriots and behaving in ways to bring discredit and dishonor to the movement. This cannot be permitted to slow down the protest and drive us from the field of public discourse. Whatever happens, we need to keep the difference between right and wrong firmly in mind and focus on the victory to cannot afford to miss.
Then, while keeping our principles in the forefront, remember that it is personalized. It is people running the government and people enacting laws that damage our country… not just some abstract function of nature. These people need to be removed from office! These are the leftists who want to be judged on their high sounding intentions rather than their failed policies. These are people that need to be defeated at the polls and sent packing from their positions of power… they have proven themselves unworthy.
