The National Republican Party has often made huge mistakes in their choice of candidates and they will probably continue to do so. It is not so much that “they just don’t get it” as it is that they prefer the weak candidates they chose. That is why primaries are a very good thing: we, the people can pick a good candidate in the few times (and this is one) that we have such a choice. Let’s not blow it this time!

Thank you for this article about Mr. Phillip. I sense that he is gifted in wisdom and humility from studying the Bible and following the God of the Bible.

Really great blog. What drew me to Les Phillip was something I feel you picked up on, he is a true Patriot he is not just another Politician-in fact he isn't a politician which I see as a positive. There is no question where his values are rooted & these are strong ones indeed.

Great description of Les here. If you have heard him speak, then you know his platform is simply the U.S. Constitution--he seems to carry it with him everywhere! He points out that every U.S leader should "support and defend" this Constitution in the way they have sworn to do--much like Les did as a military officer. This simple, principled idea is foreign to Parker Griffith who seems to have no strong principle except self-preservation. Right now, self preservation for him means talking and voting conservative in District 5. Parker Griffith will not help give power back to "We the people". Les will.

I heard Les speak, got to spend some time with him and saw him at several Tea Party events. I was very impressed. We need Statesmen in DC. Honorable, ramrod straight and someone with a moral compass, this man does. Les is someone everyone should get to know.

I enjoyed your blog and what you written about Les Phillip. In full disclosure I do work for Les. But I wanted to share to you why I support him.

Before working for Les I was president of a Christian Conservative grassroots organization called, Concerned Citizens of Lawrence County. It is similar to the tea party groups, but we believed that society is pushing God out of the public sector. We want to raise the standard of living where we live to meet those hard times. because we believe those hard times are coming when God is not part of our way of life.

I say all that because I wouldn't be behind a candidate who wasn't a born-again Christian.

Les' life is an amazing story and to be blunt, Les should not be where he is in the race. It is all of God's doing. I don't want to go into detail because of the chance that the competition might read my comment.

But what I do want to say is that this is a statesman who will go to DC with God on his heart.

Keep up the great writing :)
