Judge Nap Reacts After Snowden Says 'There Are Some Things Worth Dying For'
Posted on May 31 - from Fox News
[Ed. note: "We have to say 'there are some things worth dying for'
and I think the country is one of them."]
Judge Andrew Napolitano reacted this morning to the NBC News interview with NSA
leaker Edward Snowden, who showed no remorse for breaking U.S. law to leak a trove
of classified documents outlining the NSA's massive surveillance program.
"There have been times throughout American history where what is right is not
the same as what is legal. Sometimes to do the right thing you have to break the
law," Snowden told Brian Williams.
Brian Kilmeade asked the judge what kind of society we would have if people
decided to break laws that they did not feel were right.
Napolitano countered that the nation's founders did just that and were considered
"traitors" in the eyes of the King of England.

[Ed. note: There are issues we need to make a stand on and there

If you are looking for courage, there are a lot of places you can find it. You
can find courageous men and women in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast
Guard. You can find them in the police and fire departments. You can find
courageous people in every day life. These are people who will do something
amazing that takes courage.
There is one place you will not find courage. This is a place where courage is
totally extinct. There is a false, bravado for show; they have an abundance of but no
real courage. Who are these people? It is Republicans in Washington.
With John Boehner, Eric Cantor and their freshly laundered white flag of
surrender, that is probably something everyone knows.

New Boy Scouts President: Gay Scout Leaders Acceptable
Posted on May 29 - from Life Site News
[Ed. note: Something families need to know about the continued
decline of the Boy Scouts.]
Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who led the military to end Don't Ask,
Don't Tell, says that he would have allowed homosexual leaders for Boy Scouts of
America.
Gates, who was elected to head the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) for a two-year
term last week, said that he "would have supported having gay Scoutmasters, but at
the same time, I fully accept the decision that was democratically arrived at by
1,500 volunteers from across the entire country."
A year ago, BSA allowed openly homosexual scouts for the first time. The policy
reads that "No youth may be denied membership in the Boy Scouts of America on the
basis of sexual orientation or preference alone.” The policy took effect on January
1, 2014.

Are Some Groups More Equal Than Others?
Posted on May 29 - from The Independent Institute
[Ed. note: The line from Orwell's 1984 sums up the attempt to
achieve equality through inequalit.]
In the recent Schuette v. BAMN decision, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the right
of voters to amend the Michigan Constitution by guaranteeing Equal Protection to
individuals in state university admission. The Court’s 6-2 majority split in its
reasoning, with several justices citing recent decisions upholding “permissible”
racial discrimination when the Court deems it acceptable. There is, however, no
such “permissibility” language in the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution.
Since Grutter (2003)—a case involving racial discrimination by the University of
Michigan Law School—the Court has accepted the diversity rationale for racial
discrimination in higher education. Frustrated Michigan voters then enacted an
amendment to mandate nondiscrimination—something the Court should have done in
2003. The Court upheld the Michigan amendment but only in the area of admissions.
In Schuette, Justices Scalia and Thomas point out the legal nonsense of courts
dividing the nation into “racial blocs.” They write, “Does a half-Latino,
half-American Indian have Latino interests, American-Indian interests, both, half
of both?” And what does it mean to say that a “group” has “interests” that may be
protected as the Court decides case by case?

The Jobber Barons
Posted on May 28 - from The Federalist
[Ed. note: The easiest path to wealth these days is not
enterprise, but through bending the law to one’s advantage.]
With the summer employment season upon us, millions of high school and college
students are pounding the pavement, looking for “help wanted” signs in the windows
of local businesses. Unfortunately, many will find that there are too many
applicants for too few jobs—the unemployment rate among 16-19 year olds remains
almost 20%.
The Obama Administration’s solution is to make these jobs even more scarce by
pushing for a massive increase in the minimum wage, from $7.25 to $10.10 per hour.
In essence, the Administration is deliberately transferring wealth from less
employable teens to more employable ones, creating a smaller group of better paid
teens (and others) at the expense of a larger group of unpaid teens (and others).
If successful, their artificial intervention into the job market (adding to the
already artificial conditions created by the existing minimum wage) will mean that
some larger number of teens will miss out on the experience, habits, and discipline
summer work inculcates—of much more long-term value to most than a relatively little
extra savings or spending money.
The unfortunate lesson for the attentive teenager is that what happens in
Washington is as important to their employment status as what happens on Main
Street. Many of their elders have, of course, already learned this lesson and
adjusted their behavior accordingly—none more so than those at the head of the
largest American corporations.

A War On Boys In American Schools
Posted on May 28 - from Personal Liberty Digest
[Ed. note: One more reason to consider alternatives to government
indoctrinaion centers.]
In classrooms across America, being a male is an educational liability.
Literature and popular culture provide a pretty good illustration of the idyllic
American boyhood throughout the decades. They also provide a pretty good overview
of the type of mischief and restlessness that can be expected from many male
children at certain ages.
Mark Twain’s Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, though imagined more than a century
ago, share the mischievous spirit of Ron Ferdinand’s enduring cartoon Dennis the Menace.
Meanwhile, “A Christmas Story’s” neurotic little Ralphie Parker, in his quest for a Red
Ryder bb gun, came up with a few schemes that would have been the envy of Beaver Cleaver.
The list and comparisons could go on endlessly; and male readers — now burdened with the
many headaches of adulthood — wouldn’t mind, conjuring their own childhood memories of
mischievous deeds and adventure seeking (which, no doubt, make better stories than any of
the fiction mentioned) as they read.

The left uses Santa Barbara massacre for political purposes

[Ed. note: Following Rahm Emanuel's advice, they are not letting this

Six people died in the massacre that happened Friday in Santa Barbara. The left
has been quick to jump on this to use it for political purposes. Even a grieving
father of one of the victims jumped out to use his son’s tragedy to advance his
political agenda.
But if you listen to the drive by media, all you would probably hear is the
usual narrative that guns are bad. There is a story behind the story. What is it?
22 year old Elliot Rodgers killed six people Friday. Rodgers was crazy. Like many of
the other perpetrators of violent mass murders he watched violent video games. So far no
word about whether he was on anti-psychotic drugs, which is another common factor of so
many of these crimes.

Jury Nullification: Why Every American Needs To Learn This Taboo Verdict
Posted on May 24 - from Liberty Crier
[Ed. note: While we may not always agree with this tactic, as in
the OJ Simpson trial, it is a something we need to be aware of in limiting unjust
application of laws... or unjust laws themselves.]
Did you know that, no matter the evidence, if a jury feels a law is unjust, it is
permitted to “nullify” the law rather than finding someone guilty? Basically, jury
nullification is a jury’s way of saying, “By the letter of the law, the defendant is
guilty, but we also disagree with that law, so we vote to not punish the accused.”
Ultimately, the verdict serves as an acquittal.
Haven’t heard of jury nullification? Don’t feel bad; you’re far from alone. If
anything, your unfamiliarity is by design. Generally, defense lawyers are not
allowed to even mention jury nullification as a possibility during a trial because
judges prefer juries to follow the general protocols rather than delivering
independent verdicts.
Surprisingly, the Supreme Court has routinely agreed that judges have no
obligation to inform juries about jury nullification. Paradoxically, jury
nullification is permitted to exist as an option to all juries, yet this option
cannot be discussed in most courtrooms.

Why John Boehner Hates The Tea Party
Posted on May 23 - from Chuck Baldwin Live
[Ed. note: Chuck Baldwin writes about the foolishness of the
Republican Party's war on a large part of it's base, while still expecting to retain
their loyalty.]
What is now called the Tea Party began in 2007 as a loosely-organized yet
highly-motivated grassroots support effort for Congressman Ron Paul's bid for the
White House. Since those early days, a lot has happened to the Tea Party.
For one thing, the Tea Party is now much larger and broader than any one person's
political candidacy. And though a Tea Party candidate has not yet obtained the White House
(Ron Paul was the lone Tea Party Republican candidate in both the 2008 and 2012
presidential elections), a host of Tea Party candidates have won several elections
in the US House and Senate--as well as many State and local races. And to win these
elections, Tea Party candidates have had to repel the attacks against them from the
Republican establishment. In fact, the GOP establishment is far and away the Tea
Party's biggest enemy.
Republican leaders such as John Boehner, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Peter King,
etc., have made one of their missions in life to defeat Republican Tea Party
candidates--even if those candidates are incumbents. This is for good reason: the
establishment Republican Party is diametrically opposed to the goals and principles of the
Tea Party.

Puritan Capitalism & the Roots of Our Reconstruction
Posted on May 22 - from Charleston Voice
[Ed. note: Along with a rejection of the majority's Christian
values, we are also seeing a rejection of the Judeo-Christian work ethic... and we
are paying the price economically as well as spiritually.]
Capitalization is the product of work and thrift, the accumulation of wealth and
the wise use of accumulated wealth.
This accumulated wealth is invested in effect in progress, because it is made
available for the development of natural resources and the marketing of goods and
produce.
The thrift which leads to the savings or accumulation of wealth to capitalization
is a product of character (Proverbs 6:6-15).
Capitalization is a product in every era of the Puritan disposition, of the
willingness to forego present pleasures to accumulate some wealth for future
purposes (Proverbs 14:23). Without character, there is no capitalization but rather
decapitalization, the steady depletion of wealth.

Are Open Carry Advocates Helping To Kill The 2nd Amendment?

Open carry activists have been in the headlines since a group of gun-wielding
2nd Amendment supporters dined at a Chipotle in Dallas, allegedly making some
customers and employees in the restaurant uncomfortable.
“We had all different types of long-guns, some people had shot guns. I

the lunch, told a CBS. “There were a few AR-15's there. The rifles were loaded.
There’s no reason to carry an unloaded weapon — it wouldn’t do any good.”
After hyperbolic reports of the pro-gun demonstration made the Internet rounds,
Chipotle released a statement asking customers not to open carry in its restraints
in the future.

Christians and the Common Good: E.W. Jackson and STAND
Posted on May 21 - from BarbWire
[Ed. note: Many today are wondering why we should continue to live by the
Judeo-Christian ethic that made our country the greatest nation the world had ever seen. The
simple answer for the scoffers wanting to take us down another path is simply that it works.]
Politics and political activism will not heal what is sickening this Nation we
love. Only authentic conversion of human hearts can accomplish that task.
However, politics is an area of culture where we must stand together- if for no
other reason than to held back the accelerating collapse of the culture. We need
time – and a free access into the public square – if we ever hope to rebuild the
moral core of this Nation that we love.
In addition, from the first centuries, Christians have always understood our
civic obligation to be faithful citizens. As a United States citizen, I am
convinced that the Nation we love is in a severe political decline which must be
reversed.

Nanny State Lessons from a German Homeschooling Family
Posted on May 21 - from The Independent Institute
[Ed. note: In another tip of the hat to foreign law, Eric Holder and Company were
more interested in pleasing the German government than in the freedoms Americans
have enjoyed since the beginning.]
The Obama Administration has stepped up deportations, and one recent attempt may
strike Americans as chilling. Uwe and Hannelore Romeike and their seven children
were on track to be deported not for illegal entry, gunrunning or drug trafficking.
No, it was for homeschooling.
Homeschooling is legal in all 50 states but has been illegal in Germany for
nearly a century. The Romeikes, German nationals, opted to school their children at
home for educational and religious reasons. Faced with an imminent threat of losing
custody of their children, in addition to jail time and fines, Uwe and Hannelore
fled to Tennessee in 2008 with their children and sought legal asylum, which they
were granted in 2010 by U.S. Immigration Judge Lawrence Burman.
That should have ended the matter, but apparently granting a homeschooling
family asylum in the United States constitutes a threat of the highest order, at
least according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and
Customs Enforcement (ICE), which challenged the Romeikes’ asylum ruling.

Notes on the Institution of Mariage
Posted on May 20 - from Americans For A Free Republic
[Ed. note: A lot of people want to set aside the traditional
definition of marriage. Unfortunately for us, there is a lot more they want to change.]
In today’s rapidly disintegrating, “do-your-own-thing” culture, our pundits,
professors, and judges are in desperate need of some powerful doses of rationality.
Nowhere is this more apparent than in the conflict over the institution of marriage
and what its definition is to be. What follows are several insights that hopefully
will clear up some egregiously warped notions being bandied about by America’s
“intelligentsia.”
In a free and ordered society (which is what those of us on the political right
maintain as the ideal) the defining of marriage cannot be left up to individual
whim. It must be defined by the predominant institution of authority in society,
which in our day is the state while in earlier times it was the church.
Why is this so? Because if adult individuals were allowed to freely define marriage as they see fit, polygamy and the building of harems would soon become part of the cultural landscape, various besotted hippies would be requesting licenses to mate with their pet dogs or horses, and certain sicko men would demand to hook up with their 18-year old nubile daughters.

“Americans have always fought for freedom. This is why America was founded: to

Time for the States to Take Back Their Land

[Ed. note: Billy Graham has been an advisor to numerous presidents,
and now he is advising our country about the dangers presented by the current White
House resident.]
According to a 2012 report by the Federal Research Service, “The federal government
owns roughly 635-640 million acres, 28% of the 2.27 billion acres of land in the United
States.
Four agencies administer 609 million acres of this land: the Forest Service
(USFS) in the Department of Agriculture, and the National Park Service (NPS),
Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), all in the
Department of the Interior (DOI). Most of these lands are in the West and Alaska.
In addition, the Department of Defense administers 19 million acres in military
bases, training ranges, and more. Numerous other agencies administer the remaining
federal acreage.”
I suspect it may come as a surprise to many people that the federal government
owns just over a quarter of the nation’s landmass and, other than land set aside
for military bases and naval ports that may seem excessive. It is.

F.A. Hayek "The Road to Serfdom"
Posted on May 17 - from Tea Party Nation
[Ed. note: Freedom and socialism cannot coexist. They are
opposites, but only one recognizes the right of the other to exist.]
That socialism has displaced liberalism as the doctrine held by
the great majority of progressives does not simply mean that
people had forgotten the warnings of the great liberal thinkers of
the past about the consequences of collectivism. It has happened
because they were persuaded of the very opposite of what these
men had predicted. The extraordinary thing is that the same
socialism that was not only early recognized as the gravest threat
to freedom, but quite openly began as a reaction against the
liberalism of the French Revolution, gained general acceptance
under the flag of liberty. It is rarely remembered now that socialism
in its beginnings was frankly authoritarian. The French writers who laid
the foundations of modern socialism had no doubt that their ideas could be put
into practice only by a strong dictatorial government. To them socialism meant an attempt to
"terminate the revolution" by a deliberate reorganization of society on hierarchical lines,
and the imposition of a coercive "spiritual power". Where freedom was concerned, the
founders of socialism made no bones about their intentions. Freedom of thought they
regarded as the root-evil of nineteenth-century society, and the first of modern planners,
Saint-Simon, even predicted that those who did not obey his proposed planning boards would
be "treated as cattle".
Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom, socialism restricts it.
Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere
agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word:
equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty,
socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.'

Black pastors: Homosexual Rights Far Cry From Civil Rights
Posted on May 17 - from GOPUSA
[Ed. note: No one chooses to be black, white or latino.]
Black pastors in Detroit are outraged that some are comparing homosexual rights
to the Civil Rights movement. In March a federal judge overturned the 2004,
voter-approved amendment to the Michigan Constitution that defines marriage as one
man and one woman.
Approximately 2.7 million voters approved the measure but Judge Bernard Friedman
ruled that the marriage law is not "rational." "We will not follow men who would
rather believe a lie than the truth," says Dr. Randolph Thomas, senior pastor of
Greater Bethlehem Church in Detroit.
Thomas is also president of the 100-member Baptist Pastors Fellowship of Detroit
and Vicinity, which proclaims on its website the belief in "one man, one woman, for
life." The website also proclaims that homosexuality is not a "valid alternative
lifestyle" but is condemned by the Bible as sin.

Al Gore And The Church Of The Global Warmists
Posted on May 17 - from Personal Liberty Digest
[Ed. note: The warmists take, as an article of faith, that man is
evil and destroying the earth. They are worshipping the creation rather than the
Creator.]
Following a winter which sent the mercury further south than Senator Bob
Menendez’s next “guy’s weekend,” I assumed that Al Gore’s inconvenient hoax didn’t
survive the season. Nonetheless, the high priest of the Cult of Global Warming has
crawled out from under the record snows to deliver an all-new diatribe about not
only the coming climate disaster, but those villains who are responsible. According
to the man who pocketed half a BILLION dollars by selling his failed cable netlet to
some of the biggest oil barons of them all, “…the future of civilization is at stake,”
and failure to act against so-called “global warming” is “immoral, unethical and
despicable.”
I could take this moment to remind you that so-called “global warming” rests
precariously on a spindle-thin tower of “evidence” which barely qualifies as
anecdotal. I could remind you that in order to steady their scientific molehill, the
warmists have to deliberately ignore mountains of evidence which directly contradict their
dogma. I could point out the fact that the warmists have supplicated themselves at the
altar of a deity which averages a name change per decade to reflect changing weather
conditions which it failed to accurately predict. I could note the almost ludicrous hubris
displayed by people who actually believe that our magnificent blue marble could be knocked
out of its 4.4 billion year-old dance by a creature that has existed for less than 1/100 of
1 percent of it. I could remind you of the University of East Anglia’s infamous
“Climategate” scandal, in which some of the chief missionaries of global warmism were
caught contorting their “data” like they were auditioning for “Cirque Du Soleil’s” new show
“CO2.”

How Not To Fix The Second Amendment
Posted on May 15 - from The Federalist
[Ed. note: Progressive liberals have been trying to take away our
guns for years but, in most cases, have been stopped by our constitution. Now one
judge proposes to change all that.]
Last week, retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens suggested he could
fix the Second Amendment with just “five extra words.” Given his political
objective, if pressed, he might do more with even less, fixing the whole
Constitution with just a one-word change in the preamble: “We the people government
of the United States . . . ”
Stevens’s new Second Amendment is straightforward enough (his language in bold):
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the
right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the Militia shall
not be infringed.” In fact, according to Stevens, there is nothing really new about
it. Rather, it restores what he takes to be the original intent of the Amendment,
which he believes has been misinterpreted in recent 5-4 Supreme Court rulings
(District of Columbia v. Heller and McDonald v. Chicago) to protect a broad right
of self-defense against not just national but also state and local legislation.
If Stevens’s is the true meaning of the Second Amendment (with or without his
five extra words) then the Amendment rather surprisingly protects no one’s right to
“keep and bear” their “Arms”–that is, it is compatible with a national law banning
all private gun ownership.

If You Are Doing Nothing Wrong You Have PLENTY To Fear

[Ed. note: One of the most dangerous things we can do is to believe
"it can't happen here".]
Last summer, I was at dinner during a sales convention. The conversation didn’t

piped up and said, “They can spy on me all they want. I am not doing anything wrong.”
They sang this song in Germany in 1933. And they sang it with unprecedented
gusto in the months following 9/11, all in the name of “security” and “keeping us
safe”.
The more important questions are: How do you know you are doing nothing that
could be construed as wrong by some state functionary? How do you know you are not
breaking some law somewhere? And why are you so implicitly trusting that your
government would never do anything evil with the information it has collected on
you?
This is not purely an academic matter. The practical implications are profound.

How Homsexuality is Bad for Your Health
Posted on May 13 - from BarbWire
[Ed. note: Truth is hate speech to those who hate the truth.]
If someone were to warn a drug addict about the dangers of abusing illicit
substances, no one would label them as hateful. However, when the same principle is
applied to homosexual behavior, the daggers come out and the “anti-gay,”
“homophobic” or “hater” epithets are angrily and aggressively hurled about.
The typical LGBTQ response to the above analogy is to claim that illegal drug
usage is a choice, but homosexuality is not. As volitional beings, though, we most
certainly have the ability to control how, when and with whom we are sexually
intimate. Therefore, the most loving thing that a Christian can do is to tell the
truth and steer homosexuals away from a harmful lifestyle — more appropriately
referred to as a deathstyle.
By now, most of our readers are quite aware of the numerous health issues
associated with the homosexual lifestyle’s risky and dangerous behavior. The typical
physical risks discussed include anorectal disorders (hemorrhoids, fissures, warts,
hemorrhaging, anal cancer), HIV/AIDS and a whole host of other harmful STDs (Chlamydia
trachomatis, Cryptosporidium, Giardia lamblia, Herpes simplex virus, Human papilloma virus,
Isospora belli, Microsporidia, Gonorrhea, Viral hepatitis types B & C, Syphilis). Although
each of these physical health hazards can also be found among heterosexuals, they occur
with extraordinary frequency among the homosexual population. And all of these factors
contribute to the shorter lifespans reported among members of their community.
As further evidence of the physical and mental health risks of LGBTQ practices,
Kathryn Foxhall, in a recent article for Contemporary Pediatrics, indicates the

Death Panels: Massachusetts Hospital Imposing DNR Orders on Patients Without Consent

According to a medical study, since 2006, Massachusetts General Hospital’s
Bioethics Committee has forced people to not receive wanted resuscitation by
imposing unilateral DNRs. And apparently, it’s all done in Star Chamber secrecy.
From Thaddeus Pope’s blog (quoting from a medical symposium presentation):
Unilateral Do-Not-Resuscitate (DNR) orders are a specific type of medical
futility decision in which clinicians withhold advanced cardiopulmonary
resuscitation (CPR) in the event of cardiopulmonary arrest despite objections of
patients or their surrogates. There is little information on how often and to whom
unilateral DNR orders are applied.
The ethics committee at Massachusetts General Hospital has had a unilateral
DNR policy since 2006. We investigated the incidence, sociodemographic and clinical
predictors, and outcomes of patients with unilateral DNR orders.
If I read this correctly, thirty-eight percent of those upon whom the unilateral
DNRs appear not to have been at the end stage of a terminal disease...

Institutional Arrogance

We always talk about the federal government being out of control, that we need

I think it is that plus the arrogance of institutions that needs to be addressed. As
a fellow I spoke with this week in Tennessee, from the White House to the Courthouse,
it all needs to be retooled.
But how? To reestablish our liberties as sovereign individuals and the sovereignty of

As key form this takes is that of school choice. Subject the public school system

Voter Fraud: An Existential Threat to America
Posted on May 9 - from Accuracy In Media
[Ed. note: Will we endure the cries of "racist" to save our country?]
It is difficult to describe the enormity of the crime being committed by the Obama
administration and their Democratic allies. They flagrantly flout the law, while
simultaneously turning it into a weapon against political opponents, use government
agencies to target innocent Americans, attempt to create legal voters through amnesty,
and undermine voter integrity measures to facilitate vote fraud, while denying it even
exists. In short, they are corrupting the entire process.
Thus, it is fitting to begin this report by recounting a story of deliberate,
blatant official voter fraud. This April 17, the Illinois House Executive Committee
voted to authorize $100 million to construct President Obama’s future presidential
library and museum in Chicago. AP reported that the Committee voted “unanimously,”
9-0 to support the plan. The report was false. Only four of the 11 Committee members
were in attendance—all Democrats. They did not even have a quorum. Furthermore, this was
supposed to be a “subject matter only” hearing, i.e., entailing no votes. No matter; the
legislators simply made up the results—even counting absent Republicans as “yes” votes.
Republican State Representative Ed Sullivan observed, “In this case they didn’t even care
to change the rules; they just flat out broke them.”
The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), also known as “motor voter,” promotes
easy voter registration at motor vehicle, welfare and other state and local government
offices. Voters can apply in person or by mail, and, until a recent court ruling, the
federal application required no proof of citizenship. NVRA also dictates voter roll
maintenance, but actually makes it more difficult by requiring an exhaustive procedure
that takes a minimum of four, and sometimes more than eight years, before a deceased or
otherwise ineligible voter can be removed.

On May 3, a group of 70 physicians took out a full page ad on page 2 of the
Osceola News Gazette to encourage Kissimmee, Florida, citizens to join them in
attempting to keep Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando from opening an abortion
mill in their community, which is just 20 minutes from Walt Disney World.
Many of the physicians oppose PPGO because they are pro-life. Others are incensed
on a professional level, because Planned Parenthood wants to open up shop in the
middle of a large complex of medical office buildings, pictured below, directly
across the street from a hospital. They fear Planned Parenthood’s presence will
negatively impact their business, property value, and harmony, all of which are
absolutely true.
As it turns out, PPGO purchased its 8,800 sq. ft. building in December 2013 from
Orthopaedic Associates of Osceola for $1.4 million, this only after Adventist Health
Systems, which held the deed to the property, signed a waiver to a restriction that
specified “the performance of elective termination of pregnancies is prohibited.”
Seventh Day Adventists are woefully pro-abortion.

Condoleezza Rice And Rutgers’ Tolerance Brigade
Posted on May 8 - from Personal Liberty Digest
[Ed. note: The loudest voice is not the smartest voice.]
When it comes to commencement speakers, it’s all about “the get.” Much like Oprah
Winfrey’s gabfest and the rest of the pabulum that passes for daytime television, if
the featured guest is neither important nor interesting enough to hold the audience’s
attention, then the whole show is a dud; just hand out the diplomas and be done with it.
This past weekend, Rutgers University’s Class of 2014 had a rare opportunity to
hear someone who combines both a notable presence and an exceedingly interesting
story. It’s a tale of a black woman who rose from poverty in the Jim Crow South to
become one of the most highly regarded diplomatic, geopolitical and academic minds
on the planet. In fact, she overcame almost ridiculously long odds to become one of
the most powerful women — most powerful people — on the planet.
Unfortunately, the members of the graduating class, along with the faculty,
trustees, honored guests, proud parents and whichever undergrads manage to crawl
out of their fraternity houses, didn’t get to hear Rice’s story. From a student
body and faculty numbering close to 60,000, a group numbering in at least the tens,
if not dozens, made enough racket to ruin a lifetime’s memory for the whole community.
Following repeated, albeit poorly attended, protests by a fringe bunch of undereducated
but over-radicalized kids, Rice withdrew from the engagement.

Can God bless a Godless America?

[Ed. note: Excellent question... the real question is why should
He? And what will we do about it.]
The White House is waging an all-out assault on religious liberty. Public schools
are indoctrinating our children with the gospel of secularism. Hollywood is spewing toxins
into our homes. The soundtrack of our lives is a pulsating mix of sex and violence and filth.
The American family is in ruins. What was once wrong is now right and what was once right
is now wrong.
Our nation stands on a precipice. Freedom hangs in the balance. We live in a
postmodern and post-God nation. The perfect storm is brewing. Do not be deceived.
There may be a war on religious liberty, but the true target is Christianity.
Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, and Kelly Shackelford,
president of Liberty Institute, penned an open letter to the American people last
year. Hostility against religious liberty has reached an all-time high, they warned.
The freedom of religion is being pushed out of public life, schools and even churches.

How Citizens of the Constitution State Must Resist Lawless Gun Control
Posted on May 7 - from Gun Owners of America
[Ed. note: Jury nullification is a power and, sometimes, responsibility
we have as citizens of this great country.]
For most of us, the saddest day of 2012 was December 14 — the date of the tragic
murder of 26 persons at Sandy Hook Elementary School — in a “gun free” zone.
While a full understanding of the actions of the 20-year old sociopath murderer
that day may never be achieved, his uncle reported that he had been prescribed
Fanapt, an anti-psychotic medicine known for inducing aggressive behavior.
This is not surprising in the least. One study by British psychiatrist David
Healy found that 90 percent of all school shootings in the last decade have been
linked to powerful psychotropic drugs. And, schools are generally undefended “gun
free” zones.
That day in December was also a defining day for the people of Connecticut, as
it separated the state’s politicians from its statesmen. The politicians denied the
people’s right to keep and bear arms, taking advantage of a tragedy to further restrict gun
freedom. The statesmen stood against a virulent media to defend the protections of our
written Constitution.

Supreme Court Upholds Public Prayer
Posted on May 6 - from Liberty Councel
[Ed. note: Sometimes the courts get things right even if it isn't
for the right reasons.]
Today in Town of Greece v. Galloway, the United States Supreme Court ruled that
opening a town meeting in prayer does not violate the Establishment Clause of the
First Amendment in a 5-4 decision. Liberty Counsel filed an amicus brief in this
case.
The Supreme Court gave an unequivocal recognition that even sectarian prayers
before a legislative session are constitutional. Finally, the Supreme Court went
back to a test that acknowledges a practice that was accepted by the Founders who
wrote the First Amendment.
This opinion refutes all of the nonsense that the atheists groups have been
spewing for years. The majority opinion even points out the absurdity of trying to
force a minister to pray to a neutral deity inoffensive to all present.

Are We Recreating the Third Reich?
Posted on May 6 - from Tea Party Command Center
[Ed. note: Safety is one thing, but who will protect us from the "protectors".]
Despite what some may think, the Constitution is no magical incantation against
government wrongdoing. Indeed, it’s only as effective as those who abide by it.
However, without courts willing to uphold the Constitution’s provisions when
government officials disregard it and a citizenry knowledgeable enough to be
outraged when those provisions are undermined, it provides little to no protection
against SWAT team raids, domestic surveillance, police shootings of unarmed citizens,
indefinite detentions, and the like.
Unfortunately, the courts and the police have meshed in their thinking to such an extent that
anything goes when it’s done in the name of national security, crime fighting and terrorism.
Consequently, America no longer operates under a system of justice characterized by due process,
an assumption of innocence, probable cause and clear prohibitions on government overreach and
police abuse. Instead, our courts of justice have been transformed into courts of order,
advocating for the government’s interests, rather than championing the rights of the citizenry,
as enshrined in the Constitution.
Just recently, for example, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in U.S. v.
Westhoven that driving too carefully, with a rigid posture, taking a scenic route, and
having acne are sufficient reasons for a police officer to suspect you of doing
something illegal, detain you, search your car, and arrest you—even if you’ve done
nothing illegal to warrant the stop in the first place.

Creating Chaos At Home And Abroad
Posted on May 5 - from BarbWire
[Ed. note: Ever wonder why the government in Washington seems to be
continuously doing things to upset the good people of our country, or destroying businesses
and institutions that, while not perfect, have served us well fo years. Some people think
it's because Barack Hussein Obama does not know what he is doing. They are wrong!]
Kip Piper, a former top official at HHS, recently described the rollout of the
Obamacare site as “the joyous, simultaneous, nonlinear equation from hell.”
Piper’s comments encapsulate in a very few words the political chaos theory
driving the Left, including the leaders of our current administration. They also
summarize the commitment of our president to crisis and chaos.
“Forward!” at all costs! “Forward!” joyously. “Forward,” despite chaos.
“Forward,” to create chaos.
If the idea of deliberately creating chaos sounds insane to the average common
sense American, some political theorists and their followers have found the prospect
absolutely exhilarating. For decades, theorists of political science have been
enamored of science’s chaos theory as it supposedly applies to public policy and
international relations.

Palin Is Right: To Win, GOP Must Adopt Tea Party Populism
Posted on May 5 - from Conservative HQ
[Ed. note: It appears that it's time to put the old Rockefeller Republicans
out to pasture.]
The establishment Republican Party leaders and their sometime abettors in the
establishment media would like to forget that the Tea Party uprising of 2009 and
2010 was as much a revolt against the entrenched GOP leadership as it was a rebellion
against Barack Obama and his liberal agenda.
Most of the media coverage of Sarah Palin’s CPAC speech centered on her humorous
tweaking of Karl Rove and America’s nanny-in-chief New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
However, those who stop there in their analysis of Governor Palin’s remarks are missing
the most important element of her CPAC speech: her celebration of the populist elements
of the Tea Party agenda and a call for the Republican Party to embrace them.

Wrong Target, Feminists: Forget Elliot Rodger — Islam BREEDS Misogyny

they would be focused, like a laser, on the ideology of ISLAM.]
Oh yes, the misandrous minions are on the job. Those females who search the news for
reasons to blame men for something…ANYTHING. These feminist fiends have a bloodlust to see
men everywhere destroyed, especially men with less melanin in their skin. This visceral
hatred has caused them to be quite deranged. Unhinged to the point that they will ignore
an ideology focused on debasing women to chattel…and stretching reality of aberrational
cases to make them fit their warped worldview.
Case in point...
By now, you’ve learned about the uber spoiled Leftist brat, Elliot Rodger…who
murdered 4 men, 2 women and injured 13. He was the son of Peter Rodger, an assistant
director on the blockbuster movie “The Hunger Games”. Ostensibly, neither deprived nor
destitute…but deeply disturbed.
He was seeing a therapist and apparently not on the correct meds. Before he
committed his demonic deeds, he made a video in which he moaned about being a
virgin (lepers of today’s culture), why women should find him to be a stud (instead
of a dud), and how ‘unfair’ it is that other men have a girlfriend and he has none.

Better Not Say That...
Recently we have seen multiple instances of political correctness overruling the free
speech our constitution guarantees. The progressive left is determined to shut out any
commentary that exposes the futility of their thinking... all in the name of tolerance.
William F. Buckley summed it up well when he said, “Liberals do a great deal of talking about
hearing other points of view, but it sometimes shocks them to learn that there are other points
of view.” Although these days, many do know there are other viewpoints, but they regard them
with fear and trepidation.
One needs only to look at Karl Rove's surprising perceptive comments about the possibility of
brain injury to Hillary Clinton that kept her out of circulation for a much longer time than is
normally required to recuperate from a simple fall. He made it a point not to say she had
brain damage, yet that is what the progressive press excoriated him for. The uproar was
similar to what we could have expected back in the days of my youth if someone had been
critical of motherhood and the flag. Of course, today such a criticism would be praised by
the academic and media elites.Read more...
Waiting Lists Just The Beginning: Texas VA Hospital A ‘Crime Syndicate,’ California Vet Allegedly Beat To Death By VA Cops

As a preliminary independent review by the Department of Veterans Affairs
inspector general confirmed Wednesday that veterans seeking care at the VA facility

Nation are becoming the subject of damning scrutiny. The spotlight is revealing
increasingly disturbing abuses.
Acting Inspector General Richard J. Griffin said that the VA report confirms not
only that there was a problem at the Phoenix facility, but that inappropriate
scheduling practices are indeed “systemic throughout VHA [Veterans Health

In Phoenix, VA officials had claimed that official data showed veterans waited
an average of only 24 days for care. But the IG report discovered that left out of
the official data were at least 1,700 veterans who had been placed on wait lists
not included in the VA’s official reporting.

Rachel Carson, 52 Million Dead, And The Great Google Doodle

[Ed. note: The price we, and innocents around the world, paid for
catering to disproven environmentalist hysteria.]
So, just to be clear, when you've succeeded in making yourself responsible for a
number of premature deaths that exceeds the combination of Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot,
Zedong, and Che Guevara, combined, you are lionized by the political left as someone
who really cared about saving the planet. Is it just me, or is anyone else getting sick and
tired of the moral high ground being automatically granted to these people simply because
they've proven themselves adept at selling their image of caring to the informationally
challenged.
For years, I've heard the following truism stated in different ways. "People
tend to judge themselves by their intentions, and others by their actions." The
most frustrating corollary to that is the version embodied by the political left.
When ever threatened with an accounting of the results of their policies, the
refrain of, "but our intentions were pure, or benevolent, or good," will be sounded
from the rooftops of what ever platform can be found. Minimum wage causes a
crushing spike in unemployment, most severely affecting those on the bottom of the
economic ladder? Don't blame the left for pushing it through, they after all only
had the best intentions for those poor unfortunate jobless members of the lowest
economic strata. Social Welfare programs causing a half century long societal
destruction of our once vibrant urban areas? Don't hold the political left
accountable for inflicting those policies upon those blighted inhabitants of the
inner city, after all, the people pimping those programs were only doing so out of
a deep and genuine care for the victims of them. Who needs to actually study
economics in a serious manner when you can just read the daily talking points memo
and argue via bullet point?
Now, before you members in good standing of the Peoples Democratic Movement get
yourselves into full out lather mode, I do not believe that Rachel Carson was evil
incarnate. That title is reserved for those who continued to pimp out her books
once they were discredited so thoroughly, which they've been for a very long time
now.

How the NSA is Transforming Law Enforcement
Posted on May 28 - from Charleston Voice
[Ed. note: Can we really trust this kind of behavior in the hands of a regime
that distrusts even American veterans who have risked their lives for their country...
particularly as their plans for our country harm so many of our fellow citizens?]
If you’ve been imagining NSA surveillance as something distant, with analysts
sitting in remote data centers quietly analyzing metadata—stop now. NSA surveillance
has become a part of day-to-day law enforcement fabric in the United States. The Snowden
disclosures that were made public as part of Glenn Greenwald’s book No Place to Hide
drive this point home, and they emphasize why we need real change to government
surveillance, not minor reforms.
There are two key points necessary to understand the domestic aspect of NSA
surveillance: the integral role of the FBI in helping the NSA spy on Americans, and
the acceptance of usage of NSA material for domestic and traditional law enforcement
purposes. These are contingent, of course, on the fact that the NSA’s procedures allow
widespread targeting of Americans.
Much of the material published on May 13 expanded on the disturbing revelations
that we’ve already seen, but there were some standout points: new information about
the degree of spying on the U.N. and other foreign officials, documents
demonstrating the economic espionage aspect of NSA surveillance, and some
interesting technical details about NSA programs. Among those technical details,
what was especially striking for those of us in the United States were the slides
that described how the FBI enables NSA surveillance.

On Memorial Day, We Ask Again: President Obama, Are You Really a Christian?
Posted on May 27 - from BarbWire
[Ed. note: Just as individual sins can destroy a persons, national sins
can destroy a nation. We have not been carried off to a strange land like the Jews of
Bible times, but our nation has been transformed into a foreign land all around us.]
President Lincoln believed the Civil War was God’s judgment on the United States
of America. In calling for a National Day of Prayer and Fasting in 1863, he said,
“nations like individuals are subjected to punishments and divine chastisements” as
he called Americans to turn back to God.
After the war ended, leaders inaugurated a Memorial Day event. The threefold
purpose was to honor the deceased servicemen, reflect on their sacrifice and look
forward to rebirth as a nation
Abraham Lincoln expressed his genuine conversion after he himself pondered the
carnage and realized the tremendous toll Americans experienced because of our
nation’s sins.
On this Memorial Day which traditionally marks the start of our summer season,
I’d like to humbly ask a question of our President as we see his woeful leadership
contributing to this nation’s decline. May President Obama’s hero speak to him from
the grave to repent and begin exercising the courageous Christian leadership America
needs before it’s too late.

A Question of Power: The Imperial Presidency
Posted on May 24 - from Jonathan Turley
[Ed. note: It has been said before, but it is still true, that the
government we have today is exactly what our founders sought to prevent.]
When James Madison shaped a new constitutional system for the United States, he
and his fellow framers had one overriding fear: tyranny.
They wanted to divide power between three branches and create lines of
separation that prevented the concentration of power in any single branch. The
framers based their ideas on an understanding of human nature – and human weakness.
They tried to create a system in which ambition would check ambition. However, they
knew that citizens can be distracted or deceived into giving up their very freedom.
Madison warned future generations that “if Tyranny and Oppression come to this
land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.” The framers knew how
effective fear can be to induce citizens to give up their liberties. Recent years
have proven them once again prophetic in their warnings.
To this day, many Americans misunderstand the separation of powers as simply a
division of authority between three branches of government. In fact, it was intended
as a protection not of institutional but of individual rights, by preventing any branch
from assuming enough power to become tyrannical. No branch is supposed to have enough
power to govern alone. Once power becomes concentrated in the hands of a president,
citizens are left only with the assurance that such unchecked power will be used wisely
– a Faustian bargain the framers repeatedly warned us never to accept. Benjamin Franklin
said it best when he warned that “they who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase
a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

How Liberalism Violates All 10 Commandments
Posted on May 23 - from Matt Barber
[Ed. note: Many people who consider themselves Christians have
allowed their good intentions to lead them to follow the lies of the progressive left.]
One of my readers, we’ll call him Moses, is the publisher of a mainstream newspaper
in California. He wrote me the other day with an insightful observation. Since Moses
works in one of the most liberal industries, in one of the most liberal states in the union,
I won’t divulge his real name. We don’t want Moses tarred, feathered and banished to
Oklahoma with a scarlet “C,” for Christian, emblazoned on his Harris Tweed sport coat.
(Note: I have antipathy toward neither Oklahoma – I once lived there – nor Harris Tweed,
though I do recommend against wearing Harris Tweed in Oklahoma. Especially in the summer.)
“Matt, think about this,” wrote Moses. “Every one of the Ten Commandments is explicitly
violated by a principle of the left.”
So I thought about it.
And you know what? Slap me with a Red River catfish if Moses ain’t exactly right.

Abortion Clinic Worker’s Tragic Suicide Highlights How Killing Babies Destroys One’s Soul
Posted on May 23 - from LifeNews
[Ed. note: We were not designed to do such work without it destroying
our souls.]
The tragic suicide of a woman once associated with the notorious abortionist
Steven Chase Brigham and his “secret” late-term abortion clinic in Elkton, Maryland,
has helped to shed light on how high employee turn-over at abortion clinics make them
magnets for desperate workers with mental health and addiction issues who may find it
difficult to obtain employment elsewhere.
Kimberly Marion Walker’s mental illness began to manifest in 2005, three years
after graduating from medical school at Drexel University and during her residency
at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Jersey. The New Jersey Professional assistance
program diagnosed her with “cannabis dependence and possible paranoid delusions.”
Certainly Walker is not alone among abortion clinics workers who experience drug
and alcohol abuse and mental illness. The issue drew attention during the trial of
Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell, when at least three of his former
employees testified that they suffered from various mental illnesses in conjunction
with substance addiction.

Nobody is ‘born that way,’ Gay Historians Say
Posted on May 22 - from The Daily Caller
[Ed. note: Scholars of gay history and anthropology, almost all
LGBT themselves, and they have decisively shown that gayness is a product of
Western society originating about 150 years ago.]
Virtually no serious person disputes that in our society, people generally
experience their gay or straight orientations as unchosen and unchangeable. But the
LGBT community goes further, portraying itself as a naturally arising subset of
every human population, with homosexuality being etched into some people’s DNA.
Are gays indeed born that way? The question has immense political, social, and
cultural repercussions. For example, some of the debate over applying the Constitution’s
equal protection clause to gays and lesbians focuses on whether gayness is an inborn
characteristic. And the major argument gays and lesbians have made for religious affirmation
has been, “God made me this way.”
Thus, if it’s proven sexual orientations are not innate, much of the scaffolding
upon which today’s LGBT movement has been built would begin to crumble. Given the
stakes, most gays and lesbians are dismissive or hostile toward anyone who doesn’t
think being gay is an essential, natural characteristic of some members of the human
race.

The Weaponization of the Federal Bureaucracy

[Ed. note: The Obama regime has ways of using the apparatus of government
to hinder and harass legal businesses selling a constitutionally guaranteed product that
the people want. It is part of the Alinsky tactic of demonizing those considered to be
enemies.]
Upon the heels of the scandal involving the Internal Revenue Service where
conservative groups were specifically targeted before the 2012 elections comes this
story from the Washington Times discussing the current movement on the part of the
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to intimidate banks by discouraging the giving
of lines of credit, freezing assets, and prohibiting online sales of federally licensed
firearms dealers. The FDIC is listing gun dealers as high risk in the category of porn
stores and drug paraphernalia shops. An interesting comparison, involving as it does the
legal sale of a product guaranteed to the public under the Constitution. The current
administration, of course, has expressed its dissatisfaction with that particular
institutional document which the president ostentatiously swore an oath to upon his
inauguration.
This move has gone hand in hand with Justice Department launching Operation
Choke Point, a credit card fraud probe focusing on banks and payment processors.
This added pressure has led many banks to cut ties with gun retailers no matter the
status of their licenses or credit history. The involvement of the Justice
Department in this effort is almost a sick joke when considering their hand in
Operation Fast and Furious, where they walked thousands of guns to Mexican drug
lords that resulted in hundreds of deaths, including at least two federal agents.
Eric Holder laughed at the notion of any accountability and holds his contempt of
Congress charge as a badge of honor. Fast and Furious featured the DOJ encouraging
reluctant licensed gun dealers to go ahead with illegal sales -- the same gun
dealers who are now viewed as unsavory businessmen by the federal government
actually showed more character and civic responsibility than our government
officials

It seems the politically correct liberals in charge of the NFL are admirers of
communism. In Red China, Cambodia, Vietnam and other countries communist tyrants
forced citizens into re-education camps to “enlighten” their subjects about the
wonderful “benefits” of totalitarianism.
Those brutal examples of communist treachery should be relegated to the dustbin

re-education camps are used to enlighten our citizens about the evils of racism,
homophobia and sexism.
The latest incident occurred just this week with Dolphins safety Don Jones. He
had the audacity to object to ESPN promoting sodomite football player Michael Sam

other 7th round selections were ignored by ESPN, who decided to focus on Sam only due to
his sexual orientation.

Hillary Clinton, in deflecting to Congress over her role in the cover-up of the

Launching The Liberty Church Project

American Revolution, many of today's clergy are loathe involve themselves in the
public sphere or even comment on he disintigration of the society God's Word says we
should furnish with salt and light. Rev. Baldwin has one answer to the problem.]
For many months now, I have been making preparations for this moment. Hundreds of
man-hours have gone into the planning of this project. Now, I am ready.
Over the past couple of years, hundreds of people from across the country have
pleaded with me to help them start new independent, unorganized, unincorporated,
non-501c3 churches and Christian fellowships. It has become painfully obvious to
many patriotic believers that the vast majority of establishment 501c3 churches and
pastors have made a deliberate decision to NOT engage the liberty fight. For the
most part, these pastors and churches have been completely muzzled by State
incorporation and the 501c3 government tax-status. And, sadly, these pastors and
churches have absolutely no desire to change. They are cemented in lethargy and
indifference. Meanwhile, our nation is spiraling downward toward certain
destruction--and the biggest reason for this calamitous situation is the absence of
patriot-pulpits.
But it is more than a tax-status: it is a mindset, a philosophy, and a vision.
Hundreds of thousands of Christians across America are panting for a pastor and
church that will boldly teach and preach the Biblical Natural Law principles of
liberty. They want a pastor and church that do not seem to be more loyal to a
political party than they are to the principles of truth. They want a pastor who
will name names from the pulpit. They desire a place where they can fellowship with
freedom-minded believers. They are tired of being outcasts and renegades among these
establishment government institutions, called churches. They are weary of being called
“kooks,” because they refuse to go along with the bread and circus provided by the
mainstream media and political establishments. They are disgusted with “program-driven”
churches. In their gut, they know that the Bible teaches the principles of self-defense,
the right to be armed, private property, the separation of powers, jurisdictional
authority, limited government, the rights of man, etc., and they want a pastor and church
that understands these Biblical truths and will plainly teach them. Frankly, they want a
patriot-pastor and a liberty church.

The Party of Innovation

[Ed. note: At one time, the Republican Party led the way in fighting
for freedom and individual rights. It seems that preservation of office and power have
superceded the desire to serve the public.]
In 200 years the United States went from being a colonial backwater to being the
world’s dominant economic and military power. How did our nation arise from
obscurity, break free from the grip of the most powerful empire on earth, and
skyrocket to global leadership? With a government focused on innovation—not control.
Historically, the Republican Party has led on technological innovation. President
Abraham Lincoln earned a patent and facilitated the first transcontinental railroad system.
President Hoover played a key role in the early development of radio broadcasting, and
President Coolidge created our national airways system. Dwight D. Eisenhower inaugurated
NASA and DARPA, while Richard Nixon launched the cable television industry through
deregulation. President Ronald Reagan made GPS available for civilian use and greatly
expanded science research.
But today policymakers and the regulatory state are smothering the force that
allowed us to become the world’s economic superpower. Incumbent industries have
co-opted the legal and regulatory systems to go after their competitors, and both
political parties have been complicit in this cronyism. Acceptance of these
regulatory and legal barriers is a root cause of our abysmal “new normal” of 2
percent annual GDP growth.

sodomy-based “marriages” in the Gem State beginning Friday morning.
The sting of this is in fact personal for me, as I am a co-author of Idaho’s
amendment. I worked diligently in late 2005 with other pro-family leaders in the
state to carefully craft its language. Then together we worked with the Idaho
legislature during the 2006 session, meeting with lawmakers and lining up testimony
in committee hearings. The amendment received over 75% of the vote in both the
Idaho senate and house, and went on the ballot that November.
I worked with these same pro-family leaders to strategize and conduct the
campaign on behalf of natural marriage, which led to an overwhelming 63-37 victory
for the amendment at the polls in November of 2006. So for the better part of a
year, we all invested heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears in the campaign to elevate
protection for natural marriage to our state constitution.

U.S. Becomes Chief Enabler of Christian Persecution
Posted on May 15 - from Gatestone Institute
[Ed. note: Our government is giving money we don't have to those
actively engaged in fighting Christianity.]
Human rights organization Open Doors published its 2014 World Watch List in
January, highlighting and ranking the top 50 nations that persecute Christians. The
overwhelming majority of countries making the list—and nine of the top-ten worst
offenders—are Muslim, and include nations from among America's allies (Saudi Arabia,
Kuwait) and its contenders (Iran); from among economically rich nations (Qatar) and poor
nations (Somalia and Yemen); from among "Islamic republic" nations (Afghanistan),
"democracies" (Iraq), and "moderate" nations (Malaysia and Indonesia).
The report also indicates that every Muslim nation that the U.S. has helped
"liberate," including during the "Arab Spring," has become significantly worse for
Christians and other minorities. Previously moderate Syria is now ranked the
third-worst nation in the world in which to be Christian, Iraq fourth, Afghanistan
fifth, and Libya 13th. All four receive the worst designation in the ranking
process: "extreme persecution."
Three of these countries—Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya—were "liberated" in part
thanks to U.S. forces, while in the fourth, Syria, the U.S. is actively sponsoring
"freedom fighters" against the regime. Many of these "freedom fighters" have been
responsible for any number of atrocities—including massacres, beheadings, and the
crucifixion of Christians, and others.

WSJ's Moore: Obama Would Flunk My Economics Course
Posted on May 15 - from MoneyNews
[Ed. note: Understanding economics would make restoring jobs
and the rest of our economy so much easier. The government should be looking out
for the people, not redistributing their resources.]
The Obama administration's skewed logic on a minimum wage hike would not even rate
in a basic economics class, according to Stephen Moore, chief economist for The Heritage
Foundation.
"If my students wrote a paper saying it's a good thing to raise the minimum wage
and it's not going to destroy jobs, they would flunk my class," Moore told "The
Steve Malzberg Show" on Newmax TV.
"For those of you who had 'Economics 100,' you know the first rule [is] … when
something gets more expensive, people want less of it and you're going to price a
lot of workers out of the job market."

Kids on Antidepressants Suicide Alert
Posted on May 14 - from MedicineNet
[Ed. note: This is not a new story, and one that has not changed over
the years. As one doctor explained it, when someone is depressed, they don't feel like
doing anything, but these drugs make people feel a little better, then they decide to
take action.]
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a Public Health Advisory to
alert physicians to reports of suicidal thinking and suicide attempts by children
and teenagers during clinical trials of antidepressant drugs for major depressive
disorder. The FDA statement appears below.
We believe this is a very important matter. Physicians are not the only ones who
need to be aware of the risk of suicide among children and adolescents who are on or
coming off antidepressants. We all need to be concerned and alert to this possible danger.
The agency also reminds physicians and patients that these drugs must be used
with caution, both in adults and children. The labeling of antidepressant drugs
already carries precautionary language that the possibility of a suicide attempt is
inherent in MDD and may persist until significant remission occurs. Close
supervision of high-risk patients should accompany initial drug therapy.

Why Elites And Psychopaths Are Useless To Society
Posted on May 14 - from Personal Liberty Digest
[Ed. note: Useless may not be the best word. Narcissists with no
conscience are a danger to everyone in the land.]
The ultimate and final goal of evil is to obscure and destroy our very conception
of evil itself, to change the inherent moral fiber of all humanity until people can no
longer recognize what is right and what is wrong. Evil is not a wisp of theological myth or
a simplistic explanation for the aberrant behaviors of the criminal underbelly; rather, it
is a tangible and ever present force in our world. It exists in each and every one of us.
All men do battle with this force for the entirety of our lives in the hope that when we
leave this Earth, we will leave it better and not worse.
When evil manifests among organized groups of people in the halls of power,
power by itself is not always considered the greatest prize. The true prize is to
mold society until it reflects the psychopathy that rots at the core of their being.
That is to say, the elites, the oligarchy, the mad philosopher kings want to make us just
like they are: proudly soulless. Only then can they rule, because only then will they be
totally unopposed.
The problem is humanity is not only hardwired with a dark side; we are also
hardwired with a conscience — at least, most of us are.

It's Final -- Corn Ethanol Is Of No Use
Posted on May 13 - from Forbes
[Ed. note: Using farmland to produce energy is an idea that sounds
good, but like most progressive ideas, does not live up to expectations. This is what happens
when good intentions don't line up with good science.]
OK, can we please stop pretending biofuel made from corn is helping the planet
and the environment? The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
released two of its Working Group reports at the end of last month (WGI and WGIII),
and their short discussion of biofuels has ignited a fierce debate as to whether
they’re of any environmental benefit at all.
The IPCC was quite diplomatic in its discussion, saying “Biofuels have direct,
fuel-cycle GHG emissions that are typically 30–90% lower than those for gasoline or
diesel fuels. However, since for some biofuels indirect emissions—including from
land use change—can lead to greater total emissions than when using petroleum
products, policy support needs to be considered on a case by case basis”
(IPCC 2014 Chapter 8).
The summary in the new report also states, “Increasing bioenergy crop cultivation
poses risks to ecosystems and biodiversity” (WGIII).

Christian Brotherhood an Impeachable Offense; Gay Incest Celebrated
Posted on May 12 - from American Thinker
[Ed. note: Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put
darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for
bitter! - Isaiah 5:20 ESV]
Just in the last week, in the latest blitz of gay über alles, at the provocation
of groups like GLAAD and Right Wing Watch, a newspaperman was sacked in Iowa and an
entire show on HGTV was canceled because of editors and two handsome blond brothers
adhering to the millennia-old strictures about chastity.
If you are a pair of gorgeous brothers dedicating your life to building homes
for the poor, but you criticize homosexuality, you must be stripped of your life’s
work and publicly humiliated. But if you are a pair of gorgeous brothers who
decide to have unprotected anal sex with each other in front of the camera, the gay
community will shower you with praise.
Think I’m kidding? On February 5, 2014, in the very mainstream gay publication
Queerty, an article ran celebrating the marvelous fad of “twincest” in the gay
community, or anal sex between brothers who, according to Queerty, can enjoy hot
sodomy without having to worry about genetic defects, since they cannot get
accidentally pregnant and would end up buying another woman’s eggs to make children
anyway.

State Department Sacrifices Children for 'Gay' Imperialism
Posted on May 12 - from BarbWire
[Ed. note: To determine someone's priorities, we only have to look
at what they do, and not what they tell us.]
Should the U.S. State Department receive grants from private foundations
promoting homosexuality? There’s something wrong with this picture, along with the
State Department’s obsession with global homosexual “rights.”
The State Department does care, after worldwide media pressure, about the human
rights abuses of girls in Nigeria. With the news that 300 girls were kidnapped in
Nigeria by the terror group Boko Haram, it was gratifying to hear that Secretary of
State John Kerry has pledged U.S. help in locating these child victims of Islamic
terrorism.
Because most of Kerry’s communications with Nigeria lately have been sharp
admonition about its new law criminalizing same sex unions and homosexual clubs,
societies and activities. Kerry wailed the law was an affront to “fundamental
freedoms” and “universal human rights.” Is holding a “gay pride” parade a universal
human right? It’s highly likely that billions of the world’s citizens would disagree.

Obamacare Patients In SoCal Go To Tijuana To Get Affordable Care
Posted on May 10 - from Personal Liberty Digest
[Ed. note: Even those who can get ObamaKare don't find it useable...
but they do get to pay for it.]
Some Southern Californians who’ve signed up for Obamacare are opting to head
south of the border to Tijuana, Mexico to get affordable out-of-pocket treatment
instead of dealing with insurance deductibles at home.
A USA Today report Wednesday highlighted the financial incentive as one among
several factors that prompt many Obamacare enrollees living in the border region to
head to Mexico for basic medical treatment. Most are legal immigrants or naturalized
citizens conversant in the Spanish language and in the medical establishment in Mexico.
Traveling to Mexican physicians isn’t a new phenomenon for people seeking lower
general health care costs, but the advent of the Affordable Care Act has contributed
to an increase in such traffic.

Are You A Classic?
A short time back I drove into a restaurant parking lot. Along the front of the building
was a row of dull white, tan and grey cars that all blended together. That is, except for
one. It was a red '57 Chevy convertible. It was a beautiful driver... not a trailer queen
like we see at a lot of car shows. The car still had a purpose in life beyond that of a
museum curiosity.
This 57 year old beauty stood out in stark contrast to the sameness of the newer models.
The Lexus and Cadillac owners would most likely take exception to the fact that this classic
made their status symbols look pretty much like the Fords and Dodges in the row. If there was
a Beamer, I didn't notice.
This got me to thinking. In spite of the propaganda that permeates our airwaves, our media,
and our educational system and government that are all working to guide us into the conformist
“paradise” of Orwell's 1984. When the rag top rolled off the assembly line in 1957, one
could tell a Ford from a Chevy from a Plymouth from a block away. Today, sometimes you have
to look for the nameplate to tell who made today's vehicles. The older car came from a time
when, despite the aforementioned lies of the state, there really was both a desire and the
ability to be unique.Read more...
Caution: Liberal Double Standards Ahead
Posted on May 9 - from Washington Times
[Ed. note: Can we be intimidated into the sin of silence?]
Liberals are nothing if not hypocritical.
One of the holy grails of the left is to get their hands on conservative donor lists.
They got their hands on the donor list for those who supported California’s Proposition 8
in 2008. Prop 8 was the California ballot initiative that declared marriage to be between
one man and one woman.
Supporters of Prop 8 were hounded by left wing activists. Some even lost
their jobs because of it.
When the Obama regime leaked the tax return for the National Organization for
Marriage, among other things left wing activists discovered was that Brendan Eich,
who was appointed the CEO of Mozilla, had given $1000 to help Prop 8 in 2008. The
pressure began and within days, Mr. Eich was forced out of his job.

FEC Chairman Warns Agency's Desire to Regulate Media 'Alive and Well'
Posted on May 8 - from FoxNews
[Ed. note: There are times that "regulate" should be read as "censor".]
The chairman of the Federal Election Commission warned Wednesday that officials at
the agency want to start regulating the media, despite a longstanding congressional ban
on doing so.
Goodman pointed to several recent decisions and developments that stoke concerns
about the commission -- which is supposed to regulate money in federal elections --
sticking its nose in the affairs of the press.
Foremost is a case that was considered in 2013 involving Boston TV station WCVB.
The station had invited a Democratic and Republican congressional candidate for a
debate-style program during the election a year earlier, but another third-party
candidate complained he was illegally excluded. The FEC looked at the case, because
of allegations the treatment of the other candidates was tantamount to a contribution.

United Nations Calls Catholic Church’s Pro-Life Teachings “Promoting Torture”
Posted on May 7 - from LifeNews
[Ed. note: One more piece of evidence that the United Nations is
united against Judeo-Christian values.]
It’s no secret that pro-abortion NGOs and diplomats from some nations that
legalize abortion don’t want The Vatican involved at the United Nations and have
undertaken campaigns to revoke its UN status, in large part because of its pro-life
views.
Now that effort is taking the next step, as the Catholic Church’s pro-life
teachings are being labeled as supposedly “promoting torture,” never mind the
torturous effects of abortion on women and unborn children.
As the Washington Examiner reports:
The United Nations is stepping up its attack on the Catholic Church‘s historic
opposition to abortion, suggesting at a meeting Monday in Geneva that it amounts to
“psychological torture” of women and should be repealed, a move Vatican officials
refuse to consider.

How Christians are Secretly Being Targeted by a New Pseudo Science
Posted on May 6 - from Susanne Posel
[Ed. note: Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter
the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 7:21 ESV]
The information being discussed publically regarding climate change is
purposefully skewed to convince portions of the population of one side of the
argument (or the other).
Here some of the ways agenda-driven propaganda is perpetrated onto the public
via “trusted sources” that use their status to sway their audience.
Shockingly, the same “climate change is real” rhetoric is coming for both
Republican and Democrat camps and now the new targets appear to be Evangelical
Christians.
Katharine Hayhoe, climate scientist who recently appeared on the cable television
show The Years of Living Dangerously and was named one of the “100 most influential people
of 2014” is focusing her efforts to proselytize to her fellow Evangelical Christian brethren
to shift their opinion on climate change.

‘We Are England, 1939': Russia’s Potential ‘Next Target’ That Some
Say Could Lead to ‘Real War’
Posted on May 6 - from TheBlaze
[Ed. note: It's been said that those who don't learn from the past
are doomed to repeat it.]
TheBlaze’s national security adviser Buck Sexton warned Monday that Russia’s ambitions
may not stop at the border of Ukraine.
“[Russian President Vladimir Putin] is the bully who hasn’t been punched in the
nose yet,” Sexton, a former CIA officer, remarked on The Glenn Beck Program.
“He’s going to keep doing what he does until somebody stops him.”
Sexton speculated that Latvia could be Russia’s “next target,” because it has a
large Russian-speaking population and many non-citizen Latvians who are ethnically
Russian. He said Russia knows it can exploit the situation the same way it did with
Ukraine.

Political Christian Relaunches
The Political Christian blog has been published for the past several years.
During that time, we have addressed more topics than I care to remember. However
times change, obstacles to freedom multiply and we need to adjust our approach.
We have chosen to move to this format since there is so much more going on than
can be covered in one blog post a day. We have decided to include more stories
and more opinions than I could possibly deal with and comment on. You will still
hear from me from time to time. The articles will be coming from many sources,
some widely circulated... some not. Read, enjoy... then act!
Keeping The Guys Who Need To Stay
Posted on May 5 - from Tea Party Nation
[Ed. note: There are many that need to go, as the article points out,
but I would add the likes of Utah's Jason Chaffetz and Virginia's Randy Forges to the list of
the good guys we need to keep fighting the good fight.]
This year, the “Throw the bums out” mentality rules.
Yes, here are many politicians who have been in DC far too long and have
forgotten why they went. There are some who definitely must be voted out this
year. These include liberal Lamar Alexander, Lindsay Graham and Thad Cochran
in the Senate, as well as Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor and
Kathy McMorris Rogers in the House.
Unfortunately this year there seems to be a knee jerk reaction to throw all of
the incumbents out. Do we really want to throw people like Louie Gohmert and Trey
Gowdy out just because they are incumbents?

2 Things To Get The Ecnonmy Moving
Posted on May 5 - from MoneyNews
[Ed. note: This article proves that common sense is not so common
among those afflicted with greed and differing agendas. One idea is not so new and the
would help us even if the Fed hangs around.]
Recently, I was interviewed by Newsmax TV and the interviewer asked me, what are the
three things that I'd do now to turn the economy around. I said, well, there are actually
two biggies that come to mind.
One of the things has to do with lowering the corporate tax rate here in America.
You see, right now, there's around $2 trillion worth of cash sitting outside the United
States from U.S.-based companies.
Why don't they just bring it home and expand businesses here and hire more
Americans? It's because America has one of the highest corporate tax rates in the
entire world! Right now, the top corporate tax rate is 35 percent. Yet they could
park their money in Germany and get taxed 15 percent or Ireland for 12.5 percent.
