Christians Not Welcome in Baton Rouge?

[Ed. note: There is a growing sentiment against the Christian values that
built and protected our country. More specifically, against the one who gave us those values.]
The degrading comments of a city councilman aligned with the Baton Rouge Area Chamber
and other prominent businesses in my hometown are sending a message to Christians and
conservative businesses that they are not welcomed in Louisiana’s Capital City. In
attempting to pass a special rights measure based upon sexual behavior last Wednesday,
Councilman John Delgado ironically lashed out at opponents in his closing remarks alleging
that their opposition to the controversial ordinance was using the council to impose a
“Christian version of Sharia law on the citizens of Baton Rouge.” The comments came after
three and half hours of public comment on the so-called “Fairness Ordinance”, a measure
similar to the one recently adopted by the Houston, Texas council and now the focus of a
citizen-led referendum to overturn it.
The “Fairness Ordinance” would create a new cause of action in District Court for
allegations of discrimination on the basis of various categories, including sexual
orientation and gender identity, something the Louisiana Constitution explicitly prohibits.

We had just dropped my brother and sisters off at Faith Formation. It was a Wednesday
evening: January 8, 2014. I would be 13 in just over two weeks.
My mom said, “Zoe, I need to talk to you. Let’s go in the meeting room.” I thought we
were going to talk about puberty. I got nervous and fidgety. “Mama,” I kept saying, “I’m
not ready for this talk. I don’t want to know about it.” We got to the conference room and
Mama sat down. I sat a few chairs away. “Sit here please, Zoe,” she said. “I don’t want
to,” I whined. “Zoe,” she said firmly, “sit next to me.” I reluctantly sat down next to
her, dreading what she had to say. What she said next would change my life forever. “Zoe,”
she said, “in December of 1998, I had an abortion.” I felt like I had been slapped in the
face. My whole world was rocked. I wanted to puke, I wanted to cry, I wanted to run away
and hide. This amazing person, someone I have looked up to my whole life, my pro-life
inspiration, had had an abortion.
I stared at the glassy table where we were sitting. Mama was crying now. She told me how
her boyfriend at the time had had a pregnant girlfriend before and how he said that he
would “take care of it”. She told me how she had woken up after the abortion and thought
how lucky she was to have such a great boyfriend. She told me she had gone crazy in the
days after the abortion. She explained everything.

Doctor Disobeyed A Gun Free Zone, And Saved Lives Because Of It

A suspected gunman burst into a Pennsylvania hospital’s psychiatric ward, killing a
female caseworker and wounding a psychiatrist Thursday before the doctor returned fire
and critically injured Richard Plotts, authorities said.
The gunfire erupted on the third floor of the Sister Marie Lenahan Wellness Center,
which is part of the Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, just outside of Philadelphia,
about 2:15 p.m., Darby Borough Mayor Helen Thomas told the Daily News.

Obama’s Crackdown On Leakers Damages Constitutional Protections, Activists Say

Recent revelations of the U.S. government’s pervasive surveillance program and its
crackdown on leaks are making it increasingly difficult for American journalists and
lawyers to do their jobs, the advocacy group Human Rights Watch and the American Civil
Liberties Union said in a report released Monday.
It’s becoming impossible to ensure privacy for sources and clients by protecting their
information, the report found. Government officials not only are substantially less willing
to be in contact with journalists than they were a few years ago, but they also are even
refusing to discuss unclassified matters or personal opinions.
“They are afraid of losing their security clearances, being fired or even being
prosecuted,” Alex Sinha, the author of the report and a fellow at Human Rights Watch,
said in a news conference at the National Press Club.

The Importance of Integrity and Public Virtue of Public Officials

Original sin and the rise of moral relativism is why integrity and public virtue among
our public officials is so important. Trust in our government is at an all-time low, not
just the Congress, but also the Presidency and the Judiciary. The lack of trust in our
government is not because the American people think the government is not doing anything
for them; it is doing too much for us. The American people do not trust our government
because the leaders we elect have no integrity and public virtue, and they have no ethics
to maintain public virtue.
When a politician violates ethics rules and breaches his integrity, we politicize the
situation. We blame each other for punishing those in the opposite party, but reward
those ethics violators who are in our own party. Both of which have become true. When
ethics are violated regardless of political party, we should stand united in our demand
that they resign and are punished for their wrongdoing.

I want the police to be better armed than the bad guys, but what exactly does that mean today?
Apparently it means the Pentagon and Department of Homeland Security equip even the
tiniest rural police departments with massive military vehicles, body armor and grenade
launchers. The equipment is surplus from the long wars we fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.
To a hammer, everything resembles a nail. SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) teams
were once used only in emergencies such as riots or robberies where hostages were taken.
But today there are more than 50,000 "no-knock raids" a year.

The Federal Government is not Working For Us, But Against Us

For the last six years, our governmental policies have turned against the people they
are supposed to serve. Since Obama became president, "we the people" are getting hosed big
time. Countless new regulations that were sold as a quick fix to all our woes, are instead
a costly labyrinth of bureaucratic red tape. Instead of being less expensive, they are so
overpriced that they really aren't worth what we are being forced to pay; not forgetting
that thousands and thousands of new government personnel that have been hired, but the
money that some of these agencies is wasting is really criminal. Our government is actually
growing at a faster rate than our beleaguered economy can sustain. And really, what benefits
are American citizens really getting, besides a more costly infrastructure that continuously
feeds on the American taxpayer?
We are told by liberals and Democrats that we need more laws, more regulations and, of course, more
money through higher taxes, to run the whole thing. That's the joke. It never gets more efficient
and it never gets less expensive, but liberals and Democrats tell us that without these new costly
regulations and services the entire infrastructure will come crashing down around us and we'll all
be thrown back into the dark ages.

Planned Parenthood Counselor Caught Telling Teen to Let Her Boyfriend Beat Her

investigative series, showing a Planned Parenthood staffer in Portland, Oregon offering
disturbing sex counseling to someone she thinks is a fifteen-year-old girl. The video
clearly shows the counselor encouraging the young girl to allow herself to be victimized
in violent sexual encounters with her partner.
The staffer tells the investigator that “it’s very common to experiment with different
things,” including “being tied up” and “whipped” and “the baby thing, where they will put
on diapers[.]”

Obama's LGBT Executive Order endangers religious liberty

President Obama signed an executive order Monday barring federal contractors from
discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity – ignoring the
pleas of Christian and other faith leaders to include an exemption for religious
organizations.
“Thanks to your passion and advocacy and the irrefutable rightness of your cause,
our government – the government of the people, by the people and for the people – will
become just a little bit fairer,” the president told a gathering in the White House.
The executive order would prevent Christian and other religious organizations with
federal contracts from requiring workers to adhere to the tenets of their religious beliefs.
Christianity Today reports the order could impact religious non-profits such as World Vision,
World Relief and Catholic Charities.

Who Opposes Christ and Why ?

Our military now has a foundation that opposes Christianity within its ranks. A
national level advisor lobbies to have all references to Christianity removed from all
military bases, even the military academies. Why? Who are these people and what do they
actually support? Are they merely anti-Christian? Muslims? Atheists? Or anti-God?
Surprisingly, that national advisor, Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military
Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) wrote, “Today, we face incredibly well-funded gangs
of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing
their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity upon their helpless subordinates
in our nation’s armed forces.” He is not a Muslim nor practicing Jew.
He cites Dr. James Dobson—the famous Christian founder of Focus on the Family—as
“illustrating the extremist, militant nature of these virulently homophobic organizations’
rhetorically-charged propaganda.” Regarding those who teach orthodox Christian beliefs
from the Bible, Weinstein concludes, “Let’s call these ignoble actions what they are:
the senseless and cowardly squallings of human monsters.”

Government Acts as if All Income Is Its Own

is inefficiency, rent-seeking, a larger underground economy and capital flight."

Holocaust denied by students in Rialto school assignment

Dozens of Rialto eighth-graders questioned whether the Holocaust occurred in essays
written for an in-class assignment this spring. Rialto Unified School District
administrators, besieged by criticism after the assignment became public in May, claimed
at the time that none of the students who completed the assignment questioned or denied
the Holocaust, but a survey of the students’ work by this news organization found numerous
examples of students expressing doubt or flatly denying that the Holocaust occurred.
“I believe the event was fake, according to source 2 the event was exhaggerated,” one
student wrote. (Students’ and teachers’ original spelling and grammar are retained
throughout this story.) “I felt that was strong enogh evidence to persuade me the event
was a hoax.”
In some cases, students earned high marks and praise for arguing the Holocaust never
occurred, with teachers praising their well-reasoned arguments: “you did well using the
evidence to support your claim,” the above student’s teacher wrote on his assignment.

As the crisis along our border escalates, we are hearing more and more on the whole
situation being a planned event to precipitate the total collapse of our nation. Even
congressmen are coming out and calling this a deliberate application of the Cloward &
Piven strategy. For those who may not know, the Cloward & Piven strategy was the work of
two Sociology Professors at Columbia University, Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven,
designed to organize the nation's poor and minorities into a power base from which the
country, through the democratic process, could be converted into a socialist state. One
of the key components of this strategy was the idea of overwhelming the nation's welfare
system to the point where it collapses, and the government would then be forced to adapt
socialism.

Of course, it must strike back hard, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appears
resolved that the Hamas that started this war will not be the same Hamas when it is over.
How and when we get there remains unknown, but one thing we do know is how we got where

The Immorality Of Paper Money

One of today’s most common economic fallacies is that the soaring stock market is
evidence of economic recovery. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Stocks have almost tripled since the 2008 collapse, but that stock growth stems from
Federal Reserve money printing (inflation) and near zero interest rates. The Fed’s balance
sheet has grown more than fourfold since 2008 — to $4.3 trillion — and was used to prop up
the “too big to fails.” That money had to go somewhere.
It has found its way into the stock market because U.S. Treasuries are paying less than
the rate of inflation; and corporate bonds, certificates of deposit and other fixed-income
products pay even less. This and price inflation (currency devaluation) is fueling the rise,
not positive economic growth or common sense.

Census Bureau Rep To Homeowner: “There Is Nothing Private, Sir.”

On the 11th of June, 2014, UCM posted a video showing a Southern California resident
having, what some might call, a “mildly heated verbal denial of cooperation,” after a
second visit by a U.S. Department of Commerce Census interrogation agent.
There is no Constitutional provision that says any questions must be answered, in fact.
Furthermore, a Census badge is not a delegation of enforcement authority, and he did not
have a court order. He was in trespass after being asked to leave the first time. Statutes
must derive from “Constitutional authority”. Unless anyone can show us a Constitutional
provision that authorizes someone to make their way onto private property and threaten
people to provide personal information, UCM will maintain the position that Agent Gregg
was breaking the law and harassing the resident.
The most shocking thing about this interaction was what Agent Gregg boldly stated
throughout this dialog: Starting at time code1:14, you can hear the resident ask Agent
Gregg, “Are you aware of the Constitution?” Agent Gregg replies, “Yes, sir I am” The
resident replies “Cool, then you understand.” Agent Gregg responds, “I understand what?
Are you aware that this is a mandatory survey from the U.S. Department of Commerce?” Later
in the video, the resident states, “That’s the whole point of private property. Private.
Private property.” Agent Gregg’s disappointing rebuttal? “There is nothing private sir.”

American Everyman: The Ballad Of John Q. Public

Most people go through most of their days without even denting the law, much less breaking
it. Not counting the beneficiaries of President Barack Obama’s open enrollment plan for
illegal aliens, there are more than 300 million Americans, most of whom won’t build a rap
sheet beyond the occasional speeding ticket. Despite our professed desire to “stick it to
the man,” we are, by and large, a fairly placid lot. Yet our government has developed an
ugly tendency to treat us like we’re criminals, except for those of us who actually are
criminals. The latter group, of course, comprises people who are merely misunderstood,
those are victims of the evil white patriarchy and the Attorney General (currently, that’s
Eric Holder, who’s all three).
But John Q. Public isn’t much of a threat to anyone or anything beyond that
double-baco-cheese-monster burger with large fries he ordered for lunch. Sure, he might
tip the speedometer a few nicks past 65 on the interstate from time to time. And he did
jaywalk on his way to McCoronary’s to stuff the aforementioned myocardial infarction into
his already-prodigious gullet. But he’s managed to get this far in life without any major
run-ins with Johnny Law.
Nonetheless, Public is the one who gets the second look from Uncle Sam. Since sometime
around January 2009, it’s the everyman whom the government began treating like public enemy
No. 1. His Internet usage is monitored by the National Security Agency. Every time he emails
pics to Mom from the trip to Fort Walton Beach, Fla., the government keeps a copy for itself.
When he calls Mom to check on how her new hip is treating her, odds are a third party in the
bowels of Fort Meade is getting the update as well. Of course, the NSA probably already
knew how the new hip was working out; it probably downloaded her medical records months
ago. And God forbid he donates a couple bucks to the local Tea Party chapter. If so,
he’s probably getting ready for an Internal Revenue Service audit/proctological exam.

London audience.
"Please do not do any more good in my country," he said. "We have suffered too much

That is essentially the message of an outstanding new book by Jason Riley about blacks in
America. Its title is "Please Stop Helping Us." Its theme is that many policies designed to
help blacks are in fact harmful, sometimes devastatingly so. These counterproductive policies
range from minimum wage laws to "affirmative action" quotas.

NOW Calls Little Sisters of the Poor “Dirty,” Claims Nuns Use Religion to Attack Women

The National Organization of Women (NOW) has compiled a list of what they’re calling the
“Dirty 100” — organizations who have filed suit against the HHS Contraception Mandate.
One of the “Dirty 100? organizations that NOW claims is simply “using religion” to
discriminate against women, is, in fact, a group of Catholic religious sisters called the
Little Sisters of the Poor.
The Little Sisters of the Poor take vows to tend to the needs of the elderly poor. They
are opposed to providing contraception to their employees as contraception violates the
teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The Little Sisters of the Poor are not considered
to be a “religious employer” and exempt from the mandate as they employ and care for people
of all faith backgrounds.

More Evidence of Illegal 'Cash for Vote' Operation by Cochran Campaign Piles Up

Cochran campaign staffer Amanda Shook was illegally reimbursed for over $40,000 cash in
walking around money during the Republican primary, according to Federal Election Commission
(FEC) filings. The payments are described as "Reimbursed Expenses - Campaign Walkers."
Regulation 11 CFR 116.5 expressly defines funds advanced by campaign staff for any reason
other than travel or subsistence as a loan. It is illegal under FEC rules to loan money to a
campaign in excess of the contribution limit of $2,600. "[I]f your loan exceeds the limits,
it is an illegal contribution, even if it is later repaid in full," notes the FEC website.
Shook was previously alleged to be one of the sources of street cash in an alleged
vote-buying operation in a Gotnews.com report from the Reverend Stevie Fielder.

Reid: Undoing Hobby Lobby Ruling A Top Democrat Priority

undoing the Supreme Court’s recent ruling allowing some employers with religious objections
to opt out of Obamacare’s contraception mandate on a list of Democratic legislative
priorities.
“We have so much to address over the coming weeks,” Reid said, before running through a
list of upcoming legislation that will pass through the Senate in coming weeks.
Among the Democrats’ legislative priorities, according to Reid, are securing emergency
funding to deal with the unaccompanied minors flowing across the southern border, renewing
the charter for the Export-Import Bank and allocating monies for the highway trust fund.
“We’re going to do something about the Hobby Lobby legislation we need to correct,”
Reid continued.

How to Topple a Tyranny

Man is a fallible beast, and the moral strength to resist the lure of power to
control others without reprisal is as rare as hens' teeth. The worst class of
offenders are drawn to the occupation of politics because, without the checks and
balances of market discipline that is dispensed in a competitive marketplace, one
is not held accountable for one's offenses. Only when he is granted immunity from
the natural corrective process can anyone hold a monopoly over a good or service
for any length of time, because his competitors will quickly seize the opportunity
to gain a share of the wealth.
Certain conditions are required, however, in order for a slithery serpent to
evolve into a soaring, fire-breathing dragon. A tyranny can only come to birth when
a subsidy of four key industries has been granted by his subjects or a third party;
defense, communication, finance and law. The tyrant has many tools at his disposal
to enslave both his subjects and his enemies, and thus grow his empire. But none of
them can be fully maintained without monopolization of these four key industries.
Denationalizing any of the four will significantly reduce his power to manipulate
others, but eliminating all four monopolies will render him fully mortal once again.
The Pillar of Defense
The first of these, defense, has historically been provided through a
centralized military that could be used both defensively and offensively. Even the
liberal US Constitution provides for a centralized military that can be funded
temporarily by the States out of the general fund when the militias of individual
States are deemed unfit to supply their own protection. The State delegations held
out on ratification of the US Constitution until the primacy of the militia over
the Army was included. Centralization, however, enabled it to become thoroughly
engulfed by the federal military-industrial complex. It was not a difficult
transition, however, because politicians at both the federal and state levels
shared control over their management. Of course, centralized control over the
military makes all rights and freedoms irrelevant. Even the rights nominally
guaranteed by a Constitution are rendered void, because those with the power to
enforce them also have the power to violate them - which becomes increasingly
attractive. The power to subjugate an official foreign enemy is the power to
subjugate a peaceful citizenry. A tyrant makes no distinction.

The European Union prepares the ‘solidarity clause’ framework for military use against citizens

“On Tuesday, the representatives of the EU Member States in the Council adopted
a decision on the so-called ‘solidarity clause’. Were a disaster or a loosely
defined crisis to occur, the organs of the European Union would be obliged to
assist using all the instruments at their disposal. This includes military
resources”, warned Member of the Bundestag Andrej Hunko.
The proposal on ‘arrangements for the implementation by the Union of the
Solidarity Clause’ was jointly presented by the Commission and the EU High
Representative in 2012. A country can invoke the “solidarity clause” if a crisis
“overwhelms its response capacities”. Mention is made of operational, policy and
financial instruments and structures.
Andrej Hunko continued: “The adoption at the General Affairs Council took place
in secret: the point was not mentioned on the agenda of the meeting. The press was
not informed. Yet this is one of the most controversial clauses contained in the EU
treaties. That is precisely the reason why agreement on the details of the
solidarity clause was postponed to a later point at the time of the signature of
the Lisbon Treaty.

Economist Brusca: Fed's Easing Will Spark Inflation

Inflation hawks warn that the Federal Reserve's massive stimulus program will accelerate
price increases, and independent economist Bob Brusca says they're right. The Fed has left
its federal funds rate target at a record low of zero to 0.25 percent since December 2008.
And its balance sheet has mushroomed to $4.4 trillion through quantitative easing.
"The Fed's balance sheet is huge," Brusca told CNBC. "I think they kept interest rates
very low for a very long period of time." The central bank probably won't recognize the
inflation threat until it's too late, he said. "They think there's a lot of slack, and
therefore when bad things happen, they don't believe it. And that's the problem. When bad
things happen you have to believe it."
Consumer prices rose 2.1 percent in the 12 months through June. Internal strife over
policy also is a problem at the Fed, Brusca said. "A division is also going to make it
harder to do the right thing in a timely fashion."

is the first woman ever placed on the “FBI Most Wanted Terrorists” list. Joanne’s

publicized. Rather than beat that story into the ground I thought I would take a moment
to make a point that fails to be made often enough.
With all the constant rhetoric about the dangers of the American Patriot and
right-wing-Christian terrorists, the facts still remain. The current list of “FBI
Most Wanted Terrorists” contains 32 people. 30 of those people are Muslims and two
are left-wing liberals. In addition to Chesimard, Daniel Andreas San Diego is the
other non-Muslim on the list.
Who is San Diego? He is an animal rights activist who is accused of involvement in
two San Francisco bombings.

This is a common criticism of Israel, but it is far easier to make if you are living
safely somewhere other than Israel and not being awakened by alarm sirens at 5 A.M. with
just a little time to make it to a bomb shelter.
Ms. Cliff was hardly alone. In Great Britain, the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg,
in contrast to Prime Minister David Cameron, also declared Israel’s response to Hamas as
a “disproportionate form of collective punishment” on the citizens of Gaza.

The invasion of illegal aliens across our southern border is no extemporaneous event. It

Administration has sent a loud and clear signal to our neighbors to the south that illegals
are welcome, that they won’t be sent home, and that they will be provided either real or de
facto amnesty--especially if those illegals are minors. The result is a torrent of illegals
pouring over the border into the United States. These illegals are being housed, fed, given
medical care, and are being transported to destinations throughout the U.S. Few are being
deported. Several military installations have been essentially turned into daycare centers
and nurseries, and according to several published reports, up to 70% of U.S. Border Patrol
personnel are now being assigned to administrative duties in an attempt to process the
hundreds of thousands of illegals that have amassed at the border.
Giving amnesty to illegal aliens is a long time goal of both Democrats and Republicans
in Washington, D.C. U.S. Congressman Kerry Bentivolio (R-Mich) stated it succinctly:
“Democrats want the votes, and the Republicans want the cheap labor.”
The only people opposing granting amnesty to illegals in Washington, D.C., are the Tea
Party Republicans. And had it not been for the defeat of Republican House Majority Leader
Eric Cantor (a major proponent of amnesty) by Tea Party Republicans in Virginia a few weeks
ago, there is absolutely no question that the GOP-led House and Democrat-led Senate would
have collaborated on, and passed, an amnesty bill this summer. But with the defeat of
Cantor, scores of GOP House members are extremely skittish about supporting
amnesty--especially with the fall elections just around the corner.

The secret is out: ‘Unaccompanied minors’ are only one-fourth of illegal border-crossers

A Border Patrol report reveals that “unaccompanied minors” are only one-fourth of the
current invasion from Central America across our Southwest border. The crossings by family
units have increased almost five times faster. This contradicts White House and media
efforts to elicit public sympathy by focusing public attention on children.
Total other-than-Mexican (OTM) apprehensions were 202,951 in the Southwest Border
Sector (with three-fourths of those in the Rio Grande Valley) from Oct.1 through June 30.
Of those, 57,525 were “unaccompanied alien children.” The other 145,426 persons were among
55,420 “family units” who also crossed the border, according to the report. The document
can be viewed online here.
The Border Patrol report reveals far more explosive increase of illegal immigration by
families than by minors. The increase among minors is 106 percent great than fiscal year
2013. But among family units the increase is an incredible 493 percent.

forcibly removed its citizens from Gaza and turned the land over to the Arabs. Israel has
been rewarded for that gesture of conciliation with the abduction and killing of its
citizens and the launching of hundreds of rockets into its territory.
Such provocations have finally goaded the state of Israel into launching a ground
invasion of Gaza to take on the infamous Hamas, a terrorist group famous for hiding behind
women and children even as they target the same. Death and destruction is a deserving end
to all those who purposefully target, kidnap, and murder young, innocent civilians. That’s
the tragic event that triggered this latest round of the current conflict. May all those in
Gaza who support such practices pay a very severe price for doing so.
In reality, Hamas has constructed a terror state on the border of Israel which, at its
core, seeks to fulfill the vision of Hitler and “drive the Jews into the sea.” And now,
right on cue, the Left, and the Muslims it has allowed into the West, are now marching,
protesting, and rioting outside synagogues shouting “Death to the Jews” and “Hitler was
right.” It is disgusting for any member of the supposedly civilized West to embrace the
cult of the belly-bombers and they should be roundly condemned at every opportunity. It
seems that every generation forgets the lessons of history.

A Question for Israel’s Critics

That being said, since Hamas is sworn to Israel’s destruction, since Hamas initiated
the recent hostilities, since Hamas rejected cease fire offers, since Hamas is using
civilians, including women and children, as human shields, and since Hamas is actively
attempting to infiltrate Israel and murder, kidnap, and maim its people, what do you
suggest that Israel does?
Would you prefer that Israel simply turned the other cheek and let its people be
slaughtered? Would you rather that Israel’s Iron Dome defense system was not as
successful, so that an occasional missile landed in a heavily populated area and
wiped out some Israelis?

Walmart Tests Low-Cost ‘Doc-In-A-Box’ Walk-In Clinics

The clinics, simply called “Walmart Care Clinics,” will offer $40 walk-ins for anyone
except the company’s own employees, who — so long as they participate in the company’s
healthcare plan — can use the clinics for $4 per visit.
Depending on where you live, you may have already become accustomed to seeing some type of health
clinic at the nearby Walmart. But until this year, all of the clinics inside those stores
have been owned and operated by outside contractors who lease the space. This new experiment,
on the other hand, is all Walmart.

Detroit police chief gives credit to armed citizens for drop in crime

Police Chief James Craig said lawbreakers are getting the message.
In the latest incident, police say an 88-year-old who was beaten and robbed inside his
east side home last week probably thought he was defending himself against attackers when
he opened fire Monday on a television news crew.
On Thursday, a woman appeared on his front porch asking for help, and when he opened
his door, two men rushed in, assaulted him and tied him up with a phone cord before robbing
him of several items.

I have already penned numerous articles about judging, in which I try to respond to
some of the sloppy thinking and mushy moralizing about this topic. But it seems the need
to think clearly and carefully about this matter keeps arising, so the need for more
articles continues apace.
In addition to grossly abusing and misusing such texts as Matthew 7:1 (probably the most
mangled and maligned passage in all the Bible), people will offer up quite unhelpful slogans
which they think reflects the depths of the biblical understanding on this matter.

in turning citizens into subjects by removing or severely restricting the Natural right of
self-defense. Obviously, I’m talking about countries such as Great Britain, France, Germany,
New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
By self-defense, I am talking about a man’s right to carry a Personal Defense Weapon
(PDW)--which, in modern times, mostly requires a firearm--anywhere and everywhere he goes.
A state that does not allow a man to be personally armed in his day-to-day activities is
literally stripping him of his right of self-defense. To require a citizen to keep his or
her PDW in their home or vehicle is to deny the citizen’s Natural right of self-defense.
To say a citizen may lawfully protect himself in only limited and duly-prescribed locations
is to make the citizen a subject of the state. Furthermore, it removes from him the most
fundamental of all the Natural rights that were granted to him by his Creator: the right
of self-defense.
Four-legged predators are constantly on the prowl for animals that are defenseless.
Two-legged predators do the same thing. These human predators do not respect “gun-free”
zones. Like all predators, they are opportunistic beasts. They prey on the weak and
vulnerable. When the state takes away a person’s right to be always armed, it makes the
entire citizenry weak and vulnerable. As I have said many times, guns don’t kill people;
gun-free zones kill people.

"Here’s your drink, darling," the bartender said with a smile. He seemed upbeat as he
made drinks and greeted customers. "Do you like your job?" I asked him. "I hate it," he
confessed. "Honestly, I hate my job."
I keep running into young people who put on a show of being happy with their lives but,
when probed a bit, quickly concede that their smiles mask trials. A few days ago, I met a
young woman who told me she works as a hairdresser at two different salons while seeking
work in her desired field. The next day, I met a young man who volunteers and bartends
while searching for full-time work that utilizes his college degree.
Millennials are the most highly educated generation in American history. We have more
diplomas and more student loan debt than our parents and grandparents did at our age. Over
a third of Millennials (a 40-year-high) are living at home with their parents as they
struggle to find jobs and pay off their student loan debt. It’s crucial that Millennials
hear the truth about socialism so they can dig themselves out of this mess and move on
with their lives.

morning at the school bus stop. Consequently, I have an extremely low tolerance for Leftists

Fear caused Butterball to endure daily humiliating facial slaps, punches and extortion of
his lunch money. Frustrated for Butterball, I asked, “Why don't you hit Zaggy back?”
Butterball replied, “He will beat me up”. My retort, “He is beating you up every day!”
One morning to the delight of us kids, Butterball, while crying his eyes out, went wild
on Zaggy. Nothing seriously violent, but Zaggy was the one crying and afraid.
My fellow Americans, we are being bullied like never before by Leftists which include
Obama and the MSM. We are being forced not only to tolerate, but embrace their liberal
far-left radical socialist/progressive agenda. Their agenda is particularly hostile
towards Christians, the unborn, American traditions and exceptional-ism. Noncompliance
or opposing points of view are not tolerated; either total submission or suffer total
destruction.

Immigration, Good Laws, and Liberty

Two weeks ago, President Obama said he would act alone, if necessary, to alter
immigration policy. Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin, for one, reacted enthusiastically,
suggesting the president might “borrow” the Congressional power necessary to get it done.
But last week, the president suggested (while fundraising in Dallas) that nothing could
be done about the current border crisis without the House acting to approve his plans for
“comprehensive immigration reform”—and an immediate $3.7 billion down payment to stem the
current crisis.
The president, in other words, is willing to do Congress’s job (rewrite the law) but not
his own (enforce the ones already on the books). And why not? The point in all this is to
use whatever means available to pass his bill—presented as always, as a simple distillation
of common sense and provisions for fair dealing that none but the wicked and ignorant could
oppose.

Anti-Israel Demonstration Turns Into Mob Attack on Paris Synagogue, Trapping Worshipers Inside

Protesters decrying Israel’s military operation in Gaza tried to storm a synagogue in Paris
on Sunday, trapping some 200 worshipers inside.
One Jewish leader compared the experience to Kristallnacht, while an eyewitness likened
it to an “intifada” Palestinian uprising against Israel.
The Jewish Telegraphic Agency news service reported that three Jews were taken to the
hospital following the clashes, which erupted at the end of an anti-Israel march in which
thousands had participated.

This afternoon at 3:00 p.m., Steve Elliot and Eric Odom of Grassfire hosted a
teleconference for their supporters. This correspondent took part in that. Much of what

The Obama administration uses a Clinton-era law, the Victims of Trafficking and Violence
Protection Act of 2000. By that law, the Border Patrol may not deport any person, especially
any minor traveling alone, who says he comes from a country other than Mexico. They may not
even check that out. Congress passed that law to protect a specific class of minors. Sometimes
certain nefarious adults will bring minors in as sexual slaves. This law protects them, so
they will give evidence against their kidnappers. Similarly, the Border Patrol may not deport
a woman with small children in tow. They might be fleeing from a bad husband/father who beat
her/them.
Bill Clinton signed this bill into law in 2000. George W. Bush did renew it in 2002.
According to Rush Limbaugh, the Obama administration calls this law “the Bush Law of 2002.”
They not only hide Bill Clinton’s role in creating it. They also hide their own role in
renewing it, as recently as last year.

Promoting Pedophilia

The world has rightly been shocked over revelations that big name entertainers like Rolf
Harris and Jimmy Savile have been found guilty of horrible child abuse crimes. But sadly
this is really just the tip of the iceberg it seems. Not only is pedophilia an ongoing
problem, but the worst bit is how many are actually trying to justify all this.
As much as some people want to live in dreamland here, the sad reality is this: there
most certainly is a slippery slope in action here. The deniers can nay-say this all they
like, but we have proof of this slope all over the place. Everywhere we look we see various
sleazy sexualities being seriously promoted and defended.
And so much of this is due to the success of the homosexual lobby in pushing its agenda. Many others are emboldened by the wins of the homosexualists, and they too are now demanding their piece of the pie. They know quite rightly that the exact same arguments used for something like homosexual marriage can be used for things like group marriage, “intergenerational sex” and other radical sexual causes.

D’Souza’s ‘America’ Uncovers a Generation of Liberal Lies

One of the contributors of the American Prophet website submitted a critique of
D’Souza’s film just days before its release. Along with other reports it was the impetus
for my trip to the local theatre to see for myself what the buzz was all about. I am now
convinced that much more than a mere buzz; D’Souza’s offering is a trumpet, which every
American should see regardless of their race, political persuasion or national origin.
D’Souza has an advantage over almost any filmmaker in America today and he could not be
a more perfect choice to make this film because he is an Indian-born immigrant whose love
for this country was not biased by an education in U.S. schools where the curriculum has
been carefully and unremittingly skewed to the left for an entire generation.
The film deals with generational lies that have slowly crept into the national dialogue,
educational system and the political rhetoric of the left. The shear persistence of these
lies and the willingness to lay these prevarications before an unsuspecting generation of
our youth as ‘true history’ has fostered a kind of ‘new truth’ that after all is nothing
but syncopated, syndicated, deliberate and dangerous lies meant to lead America into a day
of self-loathing and inordinate guilt.

NSA Allowed to Spy On Pretty Much Anyone, Anywhere, Documents Reveal

Ever since stories about the National Security Agency's (NSA) spying began pouring out
last year, courtesy of Edward Snowden's release of classified information about the
secretive intelligence agency, speculation has been rife about the extent of domestic
surveillance, the legal parameters within which the NSA operates, and the degree to which
it respects those parameters. Newly released documents suggest that limits on the NSA's
authority to intercept communications are few, and the executive branch's interpretation
of the NSA's jurisdiction doesn't limit surveillance to the far side of the nation's
borders.
Specifically, the NSA is authorized to spy on 193 named countries, as well as a host of
non-state organizations. And, it may be redirecting domestic communications outside the
United States in order to "legalize" access to the data.

I'm A Conservative And They Lied When They Said I Hate You

fault and you're a racist." The problem is that this just isn't so.]
Are you Hispanic, black, Asian, Jewish, gay, young, old, poor, or a woman? Well, then
you may have heard that conservatives like me hate you. In fact, I'm sure you've probably
heard some version of it a hundred times since it seems to be the standard rap for liberals
these days. "Those conservatives are racists! They hate Hispanics! They're homophobes!
They're Nazis! They're engaged in a war on women!"
You get the idea.
Well, first off, do you really think you can trust
liberals to tell you what motivates conservatives? Can you REALLY trust Paul Krugman,
Michael Moore, and your college professor who is railing about American imperialism and
white privilege to tell you what people like me are thinking? Do you even believe they know
in the first place and if they did, could you really trust them to give you an honest
rundown of why conservatives disagree with them about pretty much everything under the
sun?
Obviously, they're not exactly the best source about what conservatives really think and
most conservatives find it a little insulting to talk about our "motivation" since it's
always framed in "when did you stop beating your wife" terms. If you don't beat your wife,
that's an offensive question. If you're not racist, sexist, homophobic, anti-Semitic, etc.,
etc., it's offensive to be accused of it. Incidentally, while there are always exceptions,
the overwhelming majority of conservatives aren't any of those things and, yes, they do get
offended when they're falsely accused. Wouldn't you? So, why should they be any different?

Court: Ground Zero Cross makes atheists sick? So what?

A previous U.S. Supreme Court decision on public prayer may thwart atheists'
efforts to remove the famous steel-beam cross from the National September 11
Memorial Museum.
American Atheists, Inc. filed suit to keep the so-called Ground Zero Cross from
being included in the museum, which opened in May.
The 17-foot-tall steel beam was found in the rubble of the World Trade Center
towers after the 9-11 attacks, and it was erected at the scene and became a revered
attraction.
But American Atheists, in its court filings, suggested that even the thought of
it made them nervous and gave them an upset stomach.

Democrat Pastor Accuses Thad Cochran Campaign of Vote-For-Pay Scheme

A black Mississippi pastor has emerged to claim Sen. Thad Cochran's (R-MS)
campaign paid “thousands” of Democrats $15 each to vote in the June 24 GOP
runoff – and that he was part of the scheme.
Rev. Stevie Fielder, an associate pastor at First Union Missionary Baptist
Church in Meridan, Mississippi, says Cochran's campaign “told me to offer blacks
$15 each and to vote for Thad.” Fielder, who was paid by freelance journalist
Charles C. Johnson for the story, provided a new outlet launched by
Johnson—GotNews.com—with four text messages from a person purporting to be Cochran
campaign staffer Saleem Baird.
The messages cite an official Cochran campaign email address—Saleem@ThadForMs.com—and
include detailed discussions of the campaign providing envelopes of money to distribute to
people who vote.
“Send me individual names and amounts along with home address to
saleem@thadforms.com and I’ll have money separated in envelopes at the office
waiting for you,” one message, sent three days before the runoff, says.

What Do You Call Scientific Theory Based On Faked Data?

Busted, you call it busted. Any statement past that is simply asinine. But,
don't worry my fellow inhabitants of the worker's paradise formerly reserved for
the free and brave, I'm sure that the whole climate change grievance theater will
continue on, as if nothing has changed. We'll still be bombarded with shouts of,
"we have to self inflict economic hardship and damage now in order to save the
Earth," or, "anyone who denies that climate change isn't real is just like someone
who used to believe that the Earth was flat." Let's not forget my personal
favorite, "anyone who denies climate science should be imprisoned for their heresy."
That picture above? Oh, that's just what happens when you try to reconcile the
actual temperature data with the new and improved faked temperature data the NOAA
and NASA peddled to American Citizens in order to make it appear as though the
Earth's mean temperatures were indeed rising. O.K., we'll let that last bit sink
in for just one moment.
Right after the year 2000, NASA and NOAA dramatically altered US climate history,
making the past much colder and the present much warmer. The animation below shows
how NASA cooled 1934 and warmed 1998, to make 1998 the hottest year in US history
instead of 1934. This alteration turned a long term cooling trend since 1930 into
a warming trend.

Obama Vows To Handle Immigration Reform On His Own

children and their families that if they enter the country illegally they will be
allowed to stay.”]
President Barack Obama, reportedly giving up on the prospect of Congressional
immigration reform, announced Monday that he plans he plans to use executive
actions to deal with the tide of illegal immigrants flowing over the U.S.’s
southern border.
“If Congress will not do its job, at least we can do ours,” Obama said from the
White House Rose Garden.
The President said that unilateral action was necessary, claiming that
Republican lawmakers were afraid to stand up to the Tea Party faction of the GOP
and address the immigration issue.
“While I will continue to push Republicans to drop excuses and act,” Obama
said, “Americans cannot wait forever for them to act.”
“I don’t prefer taking administrative action,” the President also said. “I’ve
made that clear multiple times … I only take executive action when we have a
serious problem, a serious issue and Congress chooses to do nothing.”
